I’d also like to see a proper howl emote with audio. I’m still surprised it’s not an option. Had a decent roar, but how is there not a howl?

you can get a howl if you do the /charge emote (sometimes) but yeah no howl. I think they wanted the emotes to be universal, so they didn’t want one just for Worgen, but a racial-exclusive emote for each race would be interesting.
Yeah, for a werewolf, it just makes too much sense not to have it.
Having some racial ones for each race would be a cool idea.

Worgen likely didn’t get a /howl emote because they decided to give them a unique emote animation for /sniff.
There’s also currently no /howl emote for anyone, though they have added new emotes before. It would make sense to add a /howl emote and have it do unique animations and sound for Worgen.

If taurens can get a /moo that’s just a audio clip, worgens can get something similar.
The visual animation is already there that they can use, now they just need to do a actual howl sound.

Some werewolves do have tails and some don’t if you make it optional then its up to the player to decide if they want it or not.

It’s also almost like there are multiple styles of werewolves and a tail toggle would be the easiest way to showcase that. It’s literally just a question of modeling it, since the rigging and anims already exist.

Some (most I’ve seen actually) werewolves very definitely have tails. Others don’t.
Optional tails work for both of those versions.

Lots of video games and media in general have tailed werewolves.
Blizzards other games have werewolves with tails. Diablo 2, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone has tailed worgens. If you wanna be specific and say “Those are loosely based on werewolves”, Winston has a skin literally named “Werewolf” that has a tail.

They could let everyone have the toggle: show tails. That way if you are morally offended by tails, you can turn them off.
