Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Worgen would look good with optional tails because it makes them look like more of a Druid form which they are a Druid form curse, also it balances their models out nicely, improving their silhouette especially when running wild. I don’t see them as werewolves.

What people need to remember is yeah, we aren’t asking for a dog like tail that’s wagging 24/7 and moves extremely fast non stop. A wolf tail is more slow and steady, while still showing their emotions through it. Way more expressive in my opinion compared to a normal dogs tail. When a wolf gets really mad, their tails go at a stand still, perks up, and puffs up all spikey like, not in a cute way, but in a menacing way. Things that spike up in nature are generally more dominant/threatening in appearance.

People that say “a tail would make them look cute”, forget how terrifying actual wolves are through their body language alone.

Gonna post this here because yeah…

For the people who keep linking Christie Golden’s tweet about worgen not having tails as your lore defense:

https://twitter.com/ChristieGolden/status/1368279548547133442

Again, we repeat, she only works on STORY and STORY only. She is NOT part of the creative development team that is specific to Warcraft. You cannot provide any source of a WoW creative dev specifically saying what she has said. Nor can you provide anything in the game itself that says a worgen cannot have a tail.

With that, go cry somewhere else. People want options. There are already many lorebreaking additions that were added with the new customization and you’re a hypocrite for targeting only worgen but giving the pass to other lore breaking customizations that were given. This against lore argument has no foot to stand on now.

You’d probably only see them on your own system.

i mean if blizz goes and says if you want to use that mod for extra options i would be all down for it, wonder if there is a way we can 100% find out for sure

I think the extremely best case scenario would be have like a workshop type thing where you can submit your own custom hairs/cosmetics and textures and such, and Blizzard says okay, this one gets a pass, and now everyone can use it. It would be a really good way to connect with the community and give them what they want.

Honestly, this would be great but they want to market off of the customization options where they can. It literally drove sales for Shadowlands. And despite the fact that the community would 100% do this free of charge, it sadly still won’t give Blizzard a dollar.

wasn’t there that mod that added em, they could just use that and us worgen would be happy campers

The tail stuff is a whole different situation thought compared to just a tail mod. Where a tail mod basically just pins the tail on the tabard so the tail moves with it, a tail would need it’s own animations done for it. Which is why a tail would take time compared to something as simple as new hair styles or necklaces to be made. The players can get the tails models done sure, but before that, Blizzard has to get the tail working.

We already have a tail skeleton in the game, and even some animations actually make the tail work. Now it’s just a matter of when Blizzard will go in and work on it.

Wolves aren’t as “evil” or hostile as people think they are. Humans are often just jerks with no chill. Few wolves are going to go out of their way to hurt a human. Now they are defensive and as you are a competitive predator in their territory they may act violently. But there is a reason humans were able to domesticate wolves so long ago. THIS IS NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDING YOU TO GO INTO THE FORREST AND TRY TO INTERACT WITH WOLVES. Just if you see one. And it bares it’s fangs. Walks away slowly and it’ll probably let you go. If you have some kind of meat on you throw it and it’ll be way more interested in already dead meat than trying to kill a similiar sized predator. Now if you’re actually a rabbit in real life. Do not do this~! Throwing meat may not protect you!!!

I don’t think you’ve seen many wolves in real live. They are absolutely adorable. As adorable if not more so than dogs. And just like dogs if you upset them yeah they can like horrifying. But a wolf in a neutral mood let alone a happy mood is super cute.

Nothing in the lore stops then from having tails so we’ll just keep requesting the optional tail customization.

As well as these things.

wrong check the recent books and boardgames artwork

Oh you poor poor soul. The official boardgame cover has no tail, they removed it as it was a mistake and it was corrected before publication. Same goes for the books. It was stated they went through the entire book ensuring all the tails were removed, but they missed one and stated it was an error. Worgen do not have tails. Try again.
