Honestly if they slip in the Corgen too I wouldn’t be upset.

Lol

That said, let’s focus on those optional tails and full black fur option. Top of the head ears, full eight foot size and a upright posture before we go for wholly different dog types.

I actually really like the Corgen idea. I know it’s thrown around mostly as a joke… But I’d play the heck out of it.

this would also check the Gnome Druid box. imagine the forms! IMAGINE!

A yes, the Corgen race, from the highly anticipated Corgis Unleashed expansion.

I swear, at some point, we are gonna hit a area where literally anything you can think of will become a playable race no matter what it is. Players demand everything to be a playable allied race. See that whaleshark in the distance? That’s obviously Blizzard teasing us a new Allied Race!

Give Corgen, and Worgen Tails.

I saw a wolf wagging its tail once. It looked so happy.

Then I realized that could have been my Worgen with the addition of a checkbox.

Give Worgen Tails.

With them taking the extra time, those tails better have a dedicated wag button.
Honestly you could be as lazy as copying over the tail animations from the draenei on to the tail skeleton worgens already have and call it a day, but seeing as this is a wolf tail we’re talking about, it’s definitely gonna be a lot more animated/expressive compared to even the vulpera tail. So yeah, hopefully my theory is correct and they’ve actually been secretly working on a tail ever since way back just before 8.2.5 seeing as worgens do have a tail skeleton already in game right now at this very moment.

Also have a wolf eating a pizza.

Give worgen tails

I’d go for a wag emote.

My rl doggo doesn’t have a tail and just shakes his butt when he’s excited and it’s adorable.

Make it so Blizzard and we will stop posting. Keep it optional so other can choose to use it or not. Everyone will be happy.

And then… the tail emotes, for Worgen and Vulperan!

you need to wait until 11.0

we would like em now plz  goldrinn wants to give em to us

Crazy idea but if they don’t want to do it then allow the community to implement it through mods

But I don’t know if mods can work in an MMO

There actually are mods out there, but I say stay away from them. Blizzard is wonky about their stance with mods, mostly because some players use it to exploit. We saw this way back in April 25th, 2019. There was a huge wave of 6 month suspensions that effected the community that was using mods for the player characters, when in reality that wasn’t the target, it was the players using it maliciously in order to make ores more visible or flags in bgs way easier to click. They Thanos snapped 1/10th of the population or something big, primarily moon guard rofl.

The very next day they unsnapped and reverted said suspensions from the everyone that got effected, except the people that were using it maliciously. People figured they were okay with texture modding seeing as it doesn’t effect gameplay at all, but just to be safe, everyone stopped using it. To this day we still don’t know Blizzards actual stance on texture mods, but i’d imagine it’s a big no either way you look at it.

I’ll shamelessly say I was one of the players effected by the snap. I used it simply for the tail mod which I absolutely loved. It seriously gave worgens a huge improvement appearance wise. This was a simple pin the tail on the tabard skeleton too, so not much work was done. Now imagine a Blizzard quality tail work for worgens. That thing would have all kinds of unique animations for worgens seeing how expressive actual wolves tails are in real life. Would have way more going on than vulpera tails. We already have skeletons on worgens right now in game, so we’re a step closer towards actually getting our tails.

I agree.

Especially considering worgen aren’t “dogs.” They are wolves. Wolves and dogs are different things.

I for one don’t really like the equating of worgen to “dog people” because that removes all sense of ferociousness and that is precisely why Blizzard didn’t want to give them tails in the first place, because they thought it would make them too “cute.”

We need to be proving to them that a werewolf with a wolf tail is still terrifying, especially since it’s even more inhuman than without a tail. That makes it scarier, less relatable, to humanoid races. It doesn’t have to be no tail and it doesn’t have to be a hideous nasty-looking rat tail in order to be scary.

But pushing the “worgen would be so kyoot with a tail!” in this thread isn’t really something that would help convince Blizzard, imo. Not that they are probably reading this thread at all, but I can tell you, it certainly wouldn’t convince me if I was trying to have a game with scary werewolves, and I vastly prefer werewolves with tails.

Worgen are meant to be terrifying but majestic - like wolves. Not dogs, which are cute.
