Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Next-generation ‘strain’ of the Worgen ‘virus’. Ezfix.

Or just like skin tones being added or fur colors… Just add them.

Tails or no tails has no bearing on what worgen are.

Oh, I know. In all honesty, they can simply add them in a patch with zero explanation, and i’m sure there would be resouding praise with slight complaints that ‘x’ wasn’t also added, or something. In all honesty, I don’t feel that a lore-reason really needs to be included. Just add the tails. :man_shrugging:

Lore you’re choosing a really, really stupid hill to die on. Your argument is wrong, you are wrong. You have no real reason. At this point you are a troll and your name is a dishonor to the term you’re named after.

I will not be speaking to you again. Good day and do not darken the doorstep of this thread again.

Yes… I will literally never not say yes to this.

Depending on the lore. Wolves have tails and humans have tailbones so I don’t see why not.

Wolves have tails. Tails are adorable. Like Vulpera. I bet worgen get 30% increase in play if they got tails.

There used to be artwork of worgen with tails but bliz pruned it… unprune the tail!

So you want to take options away from others for purely your own benefit? How about you don’t get to decide what someone else does with their own character

GIVE WORGEN TAILS

I’ll state again, Blizzard doesn’t give a damn about their own lore and will change things at their whims to make the story or some form of event work. For instance

-The Old Gods are now completely dead after the events of BFA after even the titans couldn’t do the job and have stated multiple times that the death of an old god would spell dangerous results for the planet. Azeroth is now old god free as before we had to deal with their Avatars and not their physical forms.

-WoD has seemingly been completely erased from Lore besides Mag’har Orcs. The Alternate Yrel Lightforged have been completely dropped after being established as a credible threat, especially to horde players.

-The few Remaining blue eyed high elves are pretty much endangered, but now players can make blue eyed elves at character creation.

-The Shadowlands and everything that was changed to justify it’s existence. Uther’s soul being split, meanwhile everyone else being trapped in Frostmourne. The Lich King formerly being controlled by the Burning Legion and Bolvar not telling ANYONE about his visions of the Shadowlands until it was confirmed and convenient.

After all this stuff, I think we can suspend the idea that worgen don’t need tails because “muh lore.” The lore is already being changed to suit the needs of the game, and if new customization options are on the table with this expansion, then at least give Worgen players the option to have tails.

Give Worgen Tails.

We were told rather early on that alternate timelines fade, just in the normal course of things. Besides that they haven’t been forgotten at all. They’ve been designed as a threat to come up later. The Mag’har were brought from the alternate timeline to set up that seed.

Nothing wrong in the lore here.

Aside from vagaries like 90% and 10% and 1% we know nothing of the actual numbers of distinct Thalassians.

Further blue eyes were always going to return to the Blood Elves.

No lore issues here.

We knew jack squat all about the Shadowlands before now except that it contained more than one place. Not unlike what we have. We only currently have access to five of the countless realms of death… Nothing is wrong here. We are learning about things we never knew.

We have no reason to think that Uther was a one off case. Everyone who was taken by Frostmourne could have been split thusly. The only thing we can really say is that those raised to fight as the Scourge had their souls used to power their bodies and thus not split. Like Sylvanas. Even that though is an assumption.

Still not actual lore breakage here. Just a vague explanation on what we know.

The Lich King was always working AGAINST the Burning Legion. He was being USED by them. It didn’t mean he was theirs. And this bit still has not been changed. The Lich King that was Ner’zhul was indeed used by the Legion to further their ends as well as the Jailors in the end. When Arthas took over The Legion had already lost its control over the Lich King.

From what we know now, Arthas was wrestling with the control of the Jailor… Likely failing in the end.

Bolvar meanwhile was trying to hold back the Scourge and apparently the Jailor. He also states that he only had glimpses of the SLs. Until Sylvanas shattered the helm, there was no reason for him to tell us anything.

No lore was really broken here.

Only our understanding of that lore has been expanded…

ALL of that said. Worgen getting a tail option? It does nothing to the Lore, so that argument is dumb.

Never gonna stop supporting Tails for Worgen.

If i remember well, WoD is an exception regarding this rules for the alternates timelines because of what Garosh did.
Therefore the Wod timeline coexist with the main timeline and Yrel could be a futur threat (which make me sick, the character deserve better than this).

Still completely support this, giving Worgen tails only adds more customisation to them. It’s a easy way to give more without making them look identical to any other race available.

Giving them tails is really just giving a wolf-like race the option to look more like the animal they are based off, there is nowhere in lore stating they are incapable to have them.

Tauren have tails
Dreanei have tails
Pandaren have tails
Vulpera have tails

Buff worgen racials in pvp

Let’s talk about racials in another thread I agree its long past time to update Worgen racials as they are the only core race in the game who didn’t get changed.

All this thread is is a way to post farm by those that frequent it, because the tails will never happen

Just like High Elf subrace never would happen?

Oops.

There’s a massive difference, and playable high elves were already essentially a thing ever since blood elves were introduced. What the players were really asking for was the eye color which wasn’t lore breaking due to the nature of how their eyes change naturally.

Then new lore that fits with the current world gets invented, genius. See: Void Elves, Mag’har Orcs. Nonsense gets invented out of whole cloth to rationalize additions to the game.

Here’s an example: Eccentric Gilneans start to alter the curse through alchemical experimentation, leading to the expression of various aspects of the wolf side of the equation. Could be an entire optional questline to unlock ala Allied Races. Alternatively, it could just be a focus on the ‘shapeshifting’ part of being a shapeshifter. Getting more control over form changing. This double-fits due to, well, being able to be DRUIDS.

WOW. Lookit that, tailed worgen, no ‘lore breakage’ (because we all know the lore of WoW is sarcosanct), and people even have the option to NOT have tails if they decide not to.

So kindly hush up, stop polluting the thread, and, most importantly…

Give Worgen Tails.

Rip Lore not following his own name. Hey, just like my name is Cow but I’m not a tauren, so can’t take a persons name as fact! I like how you tried to bring up something I said and try to spin it your own way. No they don’t change naturally like that. Their eyes are naturally blue, whatever color appears is a after effect of what ever it was that changes it. They can’t get it back to normal blue as you saw with the sunwell. If the sunwell got cleansed, it would have turned blue but nope, it turned gold instead.

Blizzard said a long time ago “No playable high elves because of how little of them there are today”. The blue eyes were gonna be exclusive to void elves even till a lot of people asked for it, then Blizzard broke their own rules and said “Hey, you guys can have blue eyes too then”. So that’s what we’re doing here. We’re asking Blizzard to give worgen tails, in a lore friendly way of course unlike all the other lore breaking ways blizzard added other peoples custom options. Al thought at this point, let’s just say hey, don’t even give a lore reason then, just give em tails if you want to keep bringing up lore breaking stuff.

Funny because those two examples you just listed aren’t even nonsense. The concept for Void Elves have been around since TBC, and so have Mag’har Orcs as a race.
