Probably don’t need to kill anyone… The survivors of Southshore, and most of Silverpines still living humans drank the blood of Crowly and he did not have to die for it.
Wow it’s almost like Worgen look a million times better with tails instead of being Great Value wolf-people. And thus should be an option for folk 'cause Running Wild looks INCREDIBLY STUPID without a tail.
It’s unlikely Worgen will ever get tails as it goes against established canon. Scrolling through I see a lot of the same arguments for, and against, tails. The one I find most hilarious is those saying things along the lines of “point to where in the lore it says they can’t have tails”. This isn’t a great argument, as the same could be said for if someone requested Draenei to have a second head or for Orcs to have another pair of arms. They are just common sense things that don’t work, and it doesn’t need to be spelled out. Imagine if you were to drive your car in reverse on the sidewalk, and then tell the police that there was no law saying you couldn’t do it. I recommend shifting your focus to a better, and more lore friendly cause. My suggestion is focusing on getting Saberon as an allied race, as that is closest to what you’re seeking.
As awesome as Saberons would be(Blizzard plz give back saberon form for druids), sadly what a lot of us seek is specific for worgens as some of us have dedicated our time to play our worgens, I myself have played my worgen since day 1 of Cataclysm, and have only played this one toon ever since. Honestly the whole need for tails wouldn’t be as blown up as it is if Blizzard actually did indeed stick to their established lore and remove the tails on said worgens in hearthstone and even the concept art that came with Cataclysm Collector’s Edition. The collectors edition specifically made people feel like they did have plans for tails, but it got scrapped last second because of the rushed change to the horrifying chihuahua faced worgen many of us had to live with for almost a decade.
I get the feeling you’re an alt of Lore. In any case, nothing lore-wise against them having tails is actually a fine argument. The fact you’re completely irrational examples to try to justify “established canon” reflects poorly on your own argument.
There is more lore for worgen not having tails than there is for the contrary, because there is nothing for the contrary in the canon. Multiple people here have already made that clear. You’d be doing yourself a solid by just admitting you want tails for fun even though it is against the lore. I love worgen, but they do not have tails and therefore shouldn’t have it as an option.
There is zero lore for worgen not having tails. Noone has made that clear, and you’d be just doing yourself a solid admitting you’re yet another Lore alt and you’re just against a tail option because it goes against “your mental image” of what worgen should be.
Stop jumping between alts, you’re not doing yourself or your argument any favors.
So… What would change in the lore for worgen if the tail was an option?
The answer is nothing. It wont make worgen less worgen.
Its just an option folk want. That anyone is actually seriously against it “because its against established canon” it ridiculous.
A worgen with a tail is still a worgen.
There are two instances where the devs have said that they do not have tails.
This isn’t really lore… its just the design they’re going with at this moment. The addition of a tail will not change what a worgen is. It will only add options.
We’re asking for an option we’d like to see… cause we understand that there is nothing in the lore to reasonably stop it and yes its something we want to see.
Don’t think anyone here has ever said they wouldn’t have fun with it. lol
Like…its a game or something.
Unless Blizzard adds it. We want the tail as an option. So we’re going to ask.
You don’t want the tail as an option. Great. Don’t use it. Its really simple.
(just checked Joriti there and Thennick are the same person.)
Like I already said. Any panda that isn’t red that has a long tail shouldn’t have a long tail because that’s against “established lore” and even established real life rules.
Non red pandas do not have tails. Period.
Oh wait a minute, but they do have tails in wow now as of Shadowlands! Whelp, guess there’s your answer boys. Give worgen tails, cause apperently Blizzard is cool with giving tails to races if it looks good on em even if it’s against the established rules already in place!
Honestly, the same people that as so adamant against a change because “It’s against the lore” even thought we’ve given many examples on how it can be implemented in a lore friendly way just boggles the mind.
You try to discuss it with them, but nope, they refuse to hear what you have to say or have a conversation with them and instead just go or the easy answer of “no”. We discussed the whole purple eye situation and how that is clearly against the lore when it comes to the hordes blood elves having purple eyes, we bring up the whole pandaren tail thing but they don’t really acknowledge it at all. So it’s like, what’s the point of even responding back to em if they will just give you a boring answer instead of actually wanting a discussion.
I’ve stated this many times myself, yes I want tails for worgens, but I want it to be implemented in a lore friendly way. A small quest much like the golden eyes for blood elves and the night warrior option, which that in itself is completely new lore/retcon of what we already knew about the night elf lore and it’s history. What’s to say we can’t have the same thing for worgens? A ritual that evolves the worgens in to something else or combine the true essence of Goldrinn or whatever with the Worgen curse in order to get like a brand new worgen form? There is a lot of ways you can spin the lore in order to bring tails for worgen in to the table very easily compared to some of the other outlandish stuff they’ve introduced for other races that just retcons their previous lore.
Tails won’t just suddenly magically appear. Something will have to trigger that, and honestly, from the whole lore in Ardenweald about “rebirthing”, along with now knowing that the wild gods have a very strong connection with Ardenweald, a place Goldrinn himself is all too familiar with having died a few times in the lore before and now knowing he ends up there, maybe we will find the answer there.
What if something major happens during the middle of Shadowlands and we suddenly see him there. Then it’s like okay what is going on in Azeroth, and now that Goldrinn is here, how can we help, but before we help, show us how to unlock a tail. ;D
