Give Worgen tails!
no tails for Worgen
Say that to my furry face uncursed human!
I have no idea how much work it would be for the art team to create a Worgen tail option, but it seems to me like it would be a great way to increase visual diversity between worgen players.
If the Saberon, long claimed to use the Worgen skeleton, have a tail, then it would be a a little bit of modeling and texture fix-ups to give Worgen a tail. If not, youâd need to re-rig for some stuff, but otherwise no extra steps as far as Iâm aware.
Source: Someone that did VR model work in Blender(me).
The biggest job would be tail animation, as saberon, sauroks and sethraks use the worgen rig.
It would not be more difficult than what was done with vulpes, which in the original model, did not have a tail.
The tail of the vulperas was added later.
Captain Eudora, is a vulpera that uses the model before the inclusion of a tail.
Technical means exist to carry out the inclusion of a tail for worgen.
Itâs just up to Blizzard to consider a tail for worgen, a cosmetic option available to players, as well as eye color, fur color and hair.
A tail would be a welcome addition and would give the worgen a more bestial appearance, of a man becoming a beast and not a beast resembling a man.
We have evidence of worgen ghosts, such as Odo, Rethilgore, and Worgen Revelers, so we know the curse persists through death and into the afterlife. We also have confirmation of a worgen in shadowlands named Neena, who is seen in Maldraxxus. However, we also have confirmation that you can appear as whatever race or gender you want in your shadowlands afterlife, so we cannot really know for sure. In theory, worgen could appear as worgen or human in the afterlife, or whatever else, if they cared to.

Which in theory means if you are dead, you could have a tail - or neon fur and six legs for that matter - in your afterlife. But not in reality.
Good thing one of those is actually a reasonable possibility and not hyperbole.
Given the Sethrak alone Iâd imagine the tail rig must have a bit of a starting point.
I hope they add it.
Just to note, the new gargoyle model in Shadowlands uses the worgen skeleton as well. Not only is it upright but it too has a tail that is animated.
Honestly at this point its just up to Blizzard to stop hating Worgen and give us an optional look. The tail rig is in the model but Blizzard has to be the one to say "Yes we want more customization options for the Worgen race. Skin color, eye color and hair give Worgen the least amount of options and if you consider the human form to count⌠Well maybe if Worgen got some custom options that are not Stormwind human I would agree till then No Worgen players should not be taxed on customization for an alternate look that most donât use, and is nothing unique that lets you tell a Stormwind human apart from a Worgen.
Now that i think about it, itâs true that RP speaking, my gilnean worgen chose to be closer to the beast than her human self.
Anything that can add more bestial appearance will be welcome.
Thatâs the problem: It was clear that the current team at Blizzard doesnât like to work on the worgens.
I donât care to have a separate custom options for the human form, even in RP i rarely use it.
Iâm pretty sure to speak for the worgen community when i say that we want more custom options for the worgen form.
The tail and the straight male worgen are the most requested things.
With the Blood elves and Void elves, you granted them their wish to play as a Black elf or a High elf and for both side.
If you have granted a wish that throw the existing lore by the window, sure you can do the same for the worgen right?
Things on wishlist.
Probably more but yeah.
#givetheworgentails
Donât forget a lore correct 8 foot size.
Go ahead and give worgen tails, and while youâre at it, given the females a bigger bust.
I like your wishlist a lot, the snout lengths especially are already seen in game with Vulpera snouts and goblin noses.
And the saurok! (and the gargoyles, apparently, though I donât actually see the similarities.)
Oh yeah the Saurok!
The gargoyles I think are based on dreadlords.
Itâs 3 different tailed worgen!
I think so. Iâm on the beta looking at the gargoyles (there are 4 different creatures that could be called âgargoylesâ imo) and none of them appear to use our skele.
worgen need tails as a toggle option.
