And just to add, according to the lore, blood elves hate the alliance and humans after the events with Garithos.
But here we are, in BfA, with a huge group of blood elves eager to serve under the lion’s banner.
If you ask them about Garithos, they will say, ‘Who?’
And those who do, will say that he does not represent the entire alliance, as opposed to his Silvermoon friends.
Then Blizzard made a change in the lore that had a high impact on the game and on warcraft, whether for good or bad.
I imagine how much more an optional cosmetic would be more impactful for the game’s narrative, if added to warcraft, than something that changed the lore physically and narratively how to define that not all blood elves have resentments against the alliance and that many would like to return for the alliance, whether purple or not.
If blizzard invented it, we might even have forsakens in the alliance.
But what about lore? The lore is what Blizzard wants.
So everything currently not in the game can never be added into the game? So I guess every expac broke lore
-Orcs cant stand straight
-Zanadilar look just like normal Trolls
-Black and white female Pandaren cant have long tails
-DH’S, DK’S and Monks were not in classic, cant be added
-While were at it ANY race that was not the original 8
-Different skin tones for Humans and elves? Nope
I could go on and on or I could just say let people enjoy things that will not affect you in anyway. In a game with some of the least options I ever seen, I think you will be alright if given an option for a tail or not. Why WoW his this weird “UGH I hate having options!” crowd is beyond me.
While we appericate the bump and support for the optional tail your level 85 alt is showing. You might want to fix that or someone here might mistake you for a brave soul. Its players like you who make me wake up each day and say… This will be a good day for I know I will have one I can snicker at.
If we can’t get a lore friendly 8 foot size can we lose the 50 year chain smoker raspy voice? Why is it Celestine of the Harvest and Fiona both sound perfectly normal and we sound like we have a pallet of smokes every 5 mins. I get the idea Worgen grow in size and that would deepen a voice but it was done so poorly they had a different voice for the two main questing female worgen voice. That alone tells you Blizzard wasn’t happy with the Worgen voice. Either they need to size Worgen up to match the voice or change it.
Ps. Optional tails please.
I think it would be cool if they gave Worgen different style options of wolf tails. If they’re going to allow black/white female Pandaren the option to have their own version of the red Pandaren tails, why not?

I mean every time I see the whole lore argument it ends the same way

Y - but the lore is fluid and always changing
X - well you still cant have it cauzzzzz i dont want you too
That’s it. There is never any plan logic to that argument because its impossible to look over 15 years of lore breaking and lore changing events. The only people who hold lore over peoples head are just salty players.
