Give warriors bloodlust/fix for m+ meta

I have mained warrior since the game came out. Started in vanilla wow back right when zg came out. I have played off and on over the years (mostly on) at a semi high level. I last played during shadow lands when fury war S tier in m+. So coming back to where we are sitting right now feels not bad…but not great. So I have been trying to figure out a solution. I know there is a lot more to the issues regarding warriors and their play style than just implementing bloodlust into our build…however, with pallys now having battle rez…that leaves us being the only plate class without one of those more meta abilities that makes other classes shine. Are there other classes that don’t have a rev or bloodlust like dh, monk and rogue…yeah…but no one likes them anyways (obvious troll. They need help as well clearly)

I have always felt that it fits with the lore of a warrior as well. A shout that rallys the troops to go faster (yes we have rallying cry already that is an exceptionally weak CD) makes a lot of sense. Tbh, more sense than a hunter using a pet that just brings lust… thematically it makes sense.

So there it is. Y’all think warriors should get bloodlust or am I derp. If you think this is a good idea, post and hopefully this will gain some traction.

Have a good one y’all!

I do think Bloodlust/Hero is thematic for warriors, and I agree it would help us in getting invited to groups. It’s not going to be the end all/be all, but there’s no way it wouldn’t help.

I see groups ALL the time looking for Lust/Hero with one dps slot open.

I wouldn’t exactly mind us getting access to Bloodlust since it would help in getting into groups that aren’t synergistic for warriors, but in all honesty with groups centred around a warrior it wouldn’t really matter when it comes to building a M+ group.

With the change of Windfury Totem going from Enhancement only to any shaman you’re generally always going to want to group up with any variation of shaman in an ideal comp yourself if you were building a M+ group as Arms or Prot as they both get major benefits from this buff being present, fury not so much but still gains a benefit from the flat mastery increase.

Then there’s the whole who wants a Warrior in the group, STR/AGI which only has one ranged option given most M+ groups will tend to always stick to having at least 1 range dps in the party so there’s a good chance you’ll have a hunter in the group which also brings bloodlust.

Competition between the other tanks though Prot warrior doesn’t bring a Bres just like VDH/BM, while Bear/Blood/ProtPal all do however with the fact that the engineering battleres is a thing I don’t see this really being a problem in inviting a Warrior tank over others assuming people have the foresight to bring the correct consumables to a group.

In terms of what utility a Warrior could bring instead that would be more fitting while also increasing the benefits from inviting one to your party, I’d think any of the following would be helpful (obviously not all at once).

Buff Rallying Cry in overall and then a further 50% for 5 man groups, first addition would be a 10% health shield added alongside the 10% flat health + a heal 0.1s before the expiry of rallying cry for the health lost to provide the following.

  • More of an upfront bonus.
  • Larger benefit in smaller groups without it being overpowered in raid.
  • Removing the troll ‘died to rallying cry’ deaths that happen due to healers not being aware that rally is about to expire.

The addition of a new skill - “Ground Stomp”
Basically a carbon copy of the D3 barbarian skill of the same name and then just add in the ‘wrenching smash’ rune put it at a 2min CD or so and have it in a revamped class tree. Basically giving warriors the ability to have a mass grip while also not stepping too much on the toes of Blood DK having a 90s gorefiends or the VDH 60s Chains sigil so it allows for more variability in group comps and add control, plus it allows a DPS other than DK to group up problematic mobs.

Add in a Enrage Steal in the class tree for all specs, basically mage’s spell steal, but for enrage. Which would allow a warrior to fit into the comp of groups missing an enrage dispel while also being able to turn it against the mobs. Basically out raging the enrage.

Demoralising Shout being moved from the Prot Tree to the class tree, and then the PvP node “Morale Killer” being added to it. Allowing us to debuff the damage dealt by enemies to help survivability of the group. Maybe this effect could be baked into Piercing Howl as to not mess with prot’s talents effecting Demoralising Shout and how that tree is set-up.

It is, but it’s no where as near as reliable. Longer cast time, the person comes back with not that much hp, and you can’t move them out of “bad” on the ground.

This would be a very nice addition, basically give everyone a little ignore pain shield.

This got me chuckling, all I can picture is the two arguing about who is angrier.

I heard about a Warhammer 40k character who shouted at someone for being bad and dying and it ressed them.

Give warrior that as brez please and thank you.

And honestly, I have no idea how warrior, which is perma off meta, hasn’t gotten either a lust or brez at this point.

Rumour has it they refuse to give a class that can tank a bloodlust. But it’s okay, Pallies, DK’s and Druids can have battle rez’s. To avoid homogenization, warriors and monks just have to go without.
