Give Void Elves Natural Hair Colors

That is super cool. I didn’t even know that was a thing but I’ve never made a Pandaren. :yum: :yum: :yum:

You make a totally valid point.

Cue the gif. We know which.

This will never happen because blizz wants each race to have a specific look
Which is why Humans will never have colored hair like green/pink/purple like gnomes do.

Somand.
(just want to be included in the Somand event  )

I actually hoped for this when they redid Human customizations, I was sad that we didn’t get any of the fun colors of hair for Humans.

Why would you want bland boring high elves?

Never understood why people want to play blood elves on the Alliance so bad. I get wanting to play that side of the story, but to go so far as to remove something much more interesting for what you can already play?

That I do not get.

For VEs at this point in particular when it comes to hair options I hope this is the case outside of a black hair and white hair that pushes the Void aesthetic.

BEs have only their main visual theme and Blizzard hasn’t given BEs an additional visual theme outside of that so some thought for BE uniqueness should be part of Blizzards consideration.

Farstriders being a BE organization and tattoos being something I don’t see people forgetting just because they became Void, hopefully both races might see Farstrider tattoos being the last thing these two share and focusing on their unique customizations moving forward.

With regards to this particular topic, I believe the animosity in discussion comes from such distinct differences in motives amongst the player base. There are the people who…

  1. Play Blood Elves primarily, and feel that giving Void Elves natural hair colours further delegitimizes Blood Elves as the “true” High Elves.

  2. Play Void Elves primarily, and want to further cement their personal identity as the Alliance aligned High Elves that we’ve seen in game.

  3. Play Void Elves primarily, and enjoy the void elf theme, but still would like to emulate Alleria.

  4. Believe that anything but High Elves as a separate allied race all together won’t be enough. They believe giving natural hair colours for Void Elves would make this even less likely.

  5. Genuinely are upset that the Void Elves have further homogenized with the Blood Elf aesthetic and want to see a further expansion of Void themes instead.

  6. Are concerned Void Elves with natural skin and hair colours would make people less likely to play a Blood Elf, driving some of the player base to the Alliance.

  7. Feel it’s unfair that Void Elves as an allied race have significantly increased their customization options compared to Blood Elves have as a core race and see any further increase of Void Elf options as an unfair allocation of resources.

  8. Just want to emulate the fellowship of the ring on the Alliance.

Obviously not everyone fits into one of these categories perfectly, but even if we look at these motives at face value, it’s no wonder that it seems agreement is impossible and conversations quickly move into mug slinging territory as opposed to logical discussion.

I’ve kind of given up advocating one point over the other, instead I’m more curious to see how it pans out, because I do believe Blizzard intends to address this in some way moving forward.

I personally don’t want to play as a high elf, but high elves make sense to exist. The terrible writing required to make void elves exist still amazes me that anyone thought it was good. I’d never play a void elf under any circumstance because of their bad lore alone.

I’m out of likes but I’ll like this reply as soon as I have more.

Also I would have more replies like this but then I’d probably get banned from the forums. :yum: :yum: :yum:

The language filter kills me.

I know there’s a way to get around it but I don’t want to be banned

Yeah, I got silenced for a day for doing that and using stars in place of the letters because I bypassed the language filter and people reported me. Lol.

Reported for liking a comment?
Cancel culture at its best.

Reported for bypassing the language filter to be well naughty. Lol.

Because I’m naughty, it’s not really something I hide, I just try to keep it in check on the forums because of rules.
