Alleria is the leader, Umbric gives her the leadership and she is the one who directs the Heritage quest. All leaders do that. She is also the one present in alliance meetings even when Umbric isn’t there .
In Comparison, Fareeya is always there even when Turalyon also is.
Magister Umbric says: My arrogance was nearly our undoing. I dabbled with powers far beyond my control. If you will train us, Alleria. We will follow where you lead.
Magister Umbric: Alleria… $p… My people are free, but we have been… changed. And the voices… Alleria Windrunner: Durzaan tried to tear away your mortality. To make you like him–a slave to his hunger. Alleria Windrunner: But your fate is still your own, Umbric. I can teach you to quiet the whispers. To make the shadows serve you, instead of you serving them. Magister Umbric: My arrogance was nearly our undoing. I dabbled with powers far beyond my control. If you will train us, Alleria, we will follow where you lead. Alleria Windrunner: I sense the powers at your command. They are… considerable. You would make valuable allies of the Alliance. Magister Umbric: Silvermoon turned its back on us long ago. Today we are reborn… and it is fitting that we walk a new path. From this day forth, the Alliance has our loyalty. Alleria Windrunner: And in turn, I pledge to aid you on your journey. $p and I will inform High King Wrynn of this news. Then I will return, so that we can begin your training. Magister Umbric: It will take some time for us to adjust to our new forms. We look forward to your return, Lady Windrunner. And $p… you have our deepest thanks. Magister Umbric: Together, we will prove them wrong.
“With Alleria’s teaching, we can avoid the fate suffered by those on Mac’Aree.”
His gossip in Vol’dun:
“As it was, the shadow energies transformed us… and opened our minds to the whispers of the Void. Without Alleria’s guidance, we would have fallen into madness.”
Also, funny bit I found while looking this up:
“High elf?! Please! Why would you want to be a HIGH elf when you could look all tragic and brooding?”
Alleria Windrunner : High King Wrynn, $p and I found the sin’dorei exiles. Like me, they have been changed by the void–but their hearts and minds remain their own. Alleria Windrunner : I will be their guide. I will train them to control the whispers of shadow. In return, they will fight for the Alliance against all its foes. Anduin Wrynn: It may take time for these void elves to earn the trust of some in our ranks. But so long as they adhere to your teachings, they are welcome in the Alliance. Anduin Wrynn: You have done us a great service this day, Lady Windrunner, $p. You have my thanks. Alleria Windrunner : It is an honor to serve once more, High King. For the Alliance! Anduin Wrynn: For the Alliance!
Yeah, sounds more like Alleria is there racial leader than Umbric.
Going to go with a no on this because you’re still a Void Elf
Unless it’s to make it more prominent but it should not be dulled in any aspect, Void customizations should be what Blizzard thinks about for Void Elves moving forward.
Again. She’s just their teacher, and their line to the Alliance. Not their leader. It’s still Umbric himself.
All of this reinforces that.
I think I’ve mentioned before but I do think a council between her, Umbric and Locus-Walker would be their true full leadership.
No, no. I can see where they are coming from. I just think they’re reading it wrong. That’s within anyone’s ability to get wrong with how blizzard do things.
