Give us the option to join BG as opposing faction

Weird, given the reason your queues are so long are all the people who wanted every advantage they could get and whined about Alliance premades until Blizzard changed it.

If it helps you sleep at night to believe that, ok sure. Sleep is important.

Changing where they spawn would change the map sufficiently - and it’d be accurate to the fixes Blizzard made in retail that made it more balanced. There’s a very, very specific choke point that can make or break a game, where Ally spawn 45~s away 10 at a time whereas Horde spawn 20 at a time 20s~ away. That’s how the Horde win more often than not because unless the Alliance can take it (and they have to kill a disproportionate amount of Horde to actually take it) they can’t win. And if they lose there, they lose the BG.

I miss being 12, thinking I was a badass and amazing at the game because I played Horde. Having to grow up sucked.

So are you going to join the discussion or just cover your ears and hurl insults?

It’s true, but here we can either fix the map along the way you described so our AV can develop to be more like retail (where Ally don’t necessarily lose if they’re forced to defend), or we can make changes to systems so our AV can develop to be more like a 1.12 pserver (both sides rushing to the end and ignoring each other, basically).

This has been discussed to death. People will deny the actual reason the cave was moved and dismiss the fact that in 1.12 alliance won most AVs with faulty logic. Poking at you for reacting to my security blanket comment is more fun.

True, but I think trying to balance it would be better. Also didn’t private servers not use the same AV that Blizzard is using?

In vanilla the best players in the world could still get away with clicking and keyboard turning. In what way is that relevant to revisiting it 15 years later?

Did that only apply to Horde players back then? Why the difference now?

My point is that trying to compare data from 15 years ago is misleading. Especially since 15 years ago, the Horde was absolutely the minority faction whereas that is flipped now.

Retail has mercenary mode if you’d like to play horde vs horde. I find that mercenary mode is against the spirit of classic, which has very big differences between the two factions such as paladins/shamans.

If you’d like shorter queue times, you could reroll alliance. We’d gladly welcome you so long as you aren’t toxic. I gift bags to horde rerollers all the time.

This is perhaps the dumbest suggestion I’ve ever read on this forum.

It’s even better because it’s a Horde player that has that, “gimme gimme” attitude.

Coming from a mage wearing T2 shoulders… and has a 25% average parse… listen up folks! Vorena has something to say about what is dumb.

Nah it’s actually a terrible idea.
Horde made their own bed now sleep in it.

The cool thing about WoW is that some players can reroll to the other faction to have instant queues if they so wish.
