After 3 months a lot familiar characters have been found in Shadowlands but as far as I know Runas isn’t one of them, this guy deserves a happy after life and I think he would be a great addition to the Venthyr! its time blizzard make it happen

I’d bet that Theryn in Suramar was originally intended to be Runas, and might even still be. Too bad we never got that shown in game, though. Would have been kinda fun.
He is not dead, though. 
Runas needs to come back somehow. And Elisande too. For the horde of course.
My theory is that Theotar is Runas. I don’t care if the timeline doesn’t fit. 
I’d rather see him turn up again alive - and well. I don’t think that there was ever conclusive proof that the Arcan’dor can’t cure the Withered. Considering it was one Withered’s obsession with the seed that started the whole quest in the first place…

Him and that wine lady, Margaux, were my favorite Nightborne characters. She was like the happiest Nightborne I’ve seen in that game and was killed.
As for Runas, it’s self explanatory. A great character.

If Runas ever died, he most certainly was sent to the Maw. He may have been turned into a Mawsworn soldier, and we might have killed him.
No. The Maw siphoning didn’t start until BFA. One of the Highmountain Warbraves that dies in the Highmountain questline is in Bastion, so that shows the siphoning wasn’t happening yet in Legion.
Unless I’m mistaken, we don’t have a specific time when it started. It could’ve been sometime in Legion. Oro died in the early questing experience. Ursoc was sent to Ardenweald, so we know it had to have been after the Emerald Nightmare raid, at least. Regardless, if Runas ever died, it could have been during BfA.
Edit: I guess his fate after death wouldn’t be as certain as I thought.
I mean Runas was an addict, Theotar is just crazy due to the light burn
They arent the same.
Obviously they’re not the same lol. But one’s behavior in life vs. their behavior in death wouldn’t be the reason for that.
Its crazy how legion had so many memorable characters, I dont remember anyone from bfa and shadowlands
