God no, the point im making, if it serves their purpose, Night elves wont hesitate to put themselves first. Have you taken a look at Rut’theran village? Its hewn out of the roots of Teldrassil to make a viable environment for both the village and the ships.
Furthermore, corporations aren’t the only ones that cut down trees.
In Teldrassil and Darkshore, most of the Kaldorei NPCs offer fish related food or seafood of some sort. The daily cooking quest in Boralus is a night elf asking for grilled deep sea catfish.
Mostnof my questing was done on Kalimdore, so im familiar with the Night Elf caveat.
Eh, not really. Originally Rut’theran was built inbetween two large roots and didn’t interfere with them. The Cataclysm separated Rut’theran from Teldrassil’s trunk, and the night elves cut through the now dead roots.
Which is part of the point i was making. If the Kaldorei were wood elves, they’d regrow those roots and make them bigger and better; shaping them into a pier or harbor. Instead they cut them down to maintain use of the property instead of going somewhere else.
@Amadis,
I never stated Kaldorei only ate fish. Even the Tauren eat meat ironically.
I actually think it would be more feasible now to give Gilneas back to the Alliance. Its proximity to the Undercity may have been a point of contention. But as we’re seeing right now in Kalimdor, Darkshore is Horde territory half the time in-game but its proximity to both the Exodar and Darnassus is hardly an issue. In comparison, Gilneas will only be close to the Undercity with Silvermoon being further way up north.
Well it was suppose to be a battleground but it got cancelled(lucky in my opinion otherwise if that happened there was no way in fel the worgens would ever get it back)
Well sooner or later we will need new expansion capital, I kinda expect the worgens might get their wish someday, depending on how long WoW will last.
Probably already been mentioned, but Gilneas City was designed to be a battle ground, hence the multiple districts. The city itself was never designed to be inhabited by players outside of the BG.
On the other hand, if Blizz ever intends to make the world reflect its current self … Gilneas would need to be addressed. Perhaps turning it into a hybrid capital questing zone (like Surumar was) would be best; Same goes for Silvermoon; as well as any such new NE and Forsaken capitals.
Thread title is quite accurate, had my hopes up with the possibility of heritage armor in 8.2.5 but of course they did the ActiBlizz thing and lied once again without apologizing for the miscommunication at all.
