Give us an RP walk expansion

I miss the days of levels 1-10 and the world feels so small when I’m flying at 30,000mph.

I just miss the leveling experience.

Everybody just wants to skip it now. Why not give them a skip button or something? Cause leveling was my favorite part of the game.

People complain in mass and riot if they cant fly day 1.

I still RP walk in major cities. Then again, I am on an RP server with my mage, so it makes sense.

Seem to recall hearing about a tank back in vanilla that would rp walk all the time including in raids cuz his character was crippled n tried to request that they nerf Cthun around that.

Be the change you wanna see.

If they just make flying cost gold that would put enough players on the ground to justify blizzard designing zones/quests with ground travel in mind.

Making flying cost gold is one of the top requests to make it easier to fly day 1.

Pathfinder accomplished what you are stating. But people still riot if they cant fly.

Great.

Also now they can stop putting every zone underground. It’s a win win.

Pathfinder

No no no. Wotlk had a better way of restricting flying than stinky pathfinder.

Being underground is irrelevant when you have the same amount of air space. Its just a different color for your skybox.

shrug

The gold method is what people are asking for, because its easier and quicker than pathfinder.

Pathfinder allowed for ground design.

I miss the weekdays when we wouldn’t have so many troll threads

Well yes pathfinder did allow for ground design. But they already had good ground design in MoP and Wotlk.

Being underground is irrelevant when you have the same amount of air space.

It allows blizzard to restrict the player’s movement more than if you’re outdoors.

I’m not a troll. You’re free to look at my post history if you’d like. It’s okay tho. Walk into my arms, we can hug it out.

…how?

Because you are flagged as outdoors. Mechanically, you are outdoors just as much.

They can use narrow tunnels/holes to funnel the player.

And also they can more loosely define what is and isn’t a cave boundary.

Its been pretty well defined in TWW.

Believe it or not I’ve seen 2 posts on here complaining about it.

That’s what sparked this conspiracy I have to explain blizzards new obsession with underground zones.

That sounds awful, I don’t mind walking and not having a mount but if that’s the case… you gotta make the expansion actually fun and nothing like anything WOW has done.

Well, if the leveling process wasn’t just a grind and was actually FUN… I’m sure you’d see more people pushing for it. WOW’s leveling process has NEVER been good.

Far too used to that QoL.

I get what you’re saying, questing needs huge improvements. But just looking at expansions I think there are some clear winners and losers.

wotlk, TBC, leveling I actually really liked.

Cata’s was awful.

MoP’s was pretty good.

WoD, Legion, Bfa all had pretty good leveling IMO.

But SL, DF, and TWW are CATA tier levels of bad. The dark ages of leveling.

wish I found those times enjoyable, I just look at WOW leveling process through history and see a boring grind… at least currently it’s quick and we can get it over with in a timely manner. I think the problem is the lack of quality story writing and immersion… :person_shrugging:

I actually think WoW doesn’t really benefit at all from having story quests. I like questing better when it’s just “hey here’s content, go do the content.”

But apparently people don’t agree with that. Shrug.
