Give us already Level sync & dual spec

The level sync its a feature from Final Fantasy XI classic, that allow you reduce your level to be able to play with friends any level. This feature is necessary on TBC & Classic-wow with urgency

Right now the shortage on tanks is massive.

Pretty sure level sync is in retail. Not a fan, personally.

And there’s already plenty of other active threads on dual spec.

Im more interesed on the Level-Sync because this is a “permanent” fix for lots of problems and Dual-Specs is just a “Temporal fix to give some air to the lungs of TBC”.

With Level sync you can go back to help people to questing, dungeons, pvp. Give yourself a chance to “Re-play” the game without have to start “Over a new toon” for the 500 time.

One of the main reasons why people “Quit” the game is because less than 10% of the playerbase like pvp and the other 10% raid, so what you do with other 80% ? they are just afk on storwind getting bored and eventualy quit

They have this in Retail, it hasn’t stopped that from happening.

Yeah the best idea is keep the people AFK on stormwind doing nothing then like Classic-wow. TBC will be a dead game on 3 months cuz everyone is already lv70 and new people will find an empty world. Go for that.

On Retail people level up extremely fast, having group finder, LFG, plus easy mode gear. So is natural your friends dont even care about your Leveling-process but on WoW-Classic/TBC the leveling is one the strongest points of the game.

Once you are LV70 PLD you can go back anytime you want play low level dungeons to help “Helping” with the tank-shortage problem.

Devs can’t do the same thing they did on classic-wow let that die not even 3 months later. Right now the servers have 300 people online imagine… Even a FFXI private server have more population

Tbc won’t be dead. People have been saying that for years. You’re just a negative nancy.

Imagine not reading the last 7 posts and coming to comment without throwing any solid argument. Because I touched a nerve on a sensitive issue

Why would I go back at the same level when I can just go in and steamroll the place for them and be done in a few minutes? That’s one of the biggest benefits of being higher level.

Will Blizzard be providing mandated friends to level with?

I’d daresay players are more inclined to reroll something new, rather than arbitrarily gimp themselves to go kill random level 20 gnolls for no benefit. At least they would then have an extra Profession Alt.

Well I can explain it to you one more time like I already did all night.

See only the minority of players are interested in PvP and Raids. The vast majority of players who play Classic-WoW only do “Quests” and “Dungeons” with friends. The efforts it takes to get from level 1 to 70 is the biggest attraction in the game.

When these people reach level 70. They stay AFK in the cities and since they have already risen in the last 2 years 10-15 characters to level 60 are “disgusted” to do it again.

So when their friends or people important to them try the game. They cannot play with them and that makes both them and their friends bored. Causing them to abandon the title.

What Level-Sync seeks is that if you are lv70 but you see a shout for Low-level content it may be “dungeon” “elite quest like hogger” you can go help them but without being “OP”.

The Level sync for the dungeons that I suggest would be this.

  1. Ragefire Chasm 15
  2. Wailing Caverns 20
    3.- Deadmines 21
    4.- Shadowfang keep 26
    5.- The stockade 26
    ETC

With your idea of going and killing everything with your level 70 character in a lv20 dungeon you will only make people more bored and roll their eyes

The re-roll sadly stop being an option after the last 2 years you was dong that over-over. The fifteenth time will not be so fun sadly.

With this feature you can just go back to play the content and help people without being OP. Yes like on the levels i list above you are not even using the max level for each dungeon.

I highly doubt people would actually use this. Think prospectively as a level 70 player. I have 2 hours to play, will I:

  1. Do an at-level dungeon with people, and earn reputation, gold, and gear; or
  2. Do a below-level dungeon with people and not gain reputation, gold or gear

Level sync is the worst thing for MMO’s where leveling is a main part of the game to get stronger such was originally intended for this version of WoW. I hate level sync on retail, I hate the level sync in FFXIV, I hate the level “sync” in eso. It defeats the purpose of leveling altogether.

Literally, level sync and item level scaling was the final straw that made me quit retail.

I’m all up for changes in this version of the game. Just not ones that will completely change how the game plays as such as you suggested. :-1::-1::-1:

As a casual player who quit retail.

No.

Oh yeah OP, I totally want to gimp my level down to 20 just to complete some random “collect 10 bear asses” quest for a piddly amount of money, this is totally what the game NEEDS to have right now!!!

rofl

I hate level sync in WoW. Makes going places a giant pain.

Don’t really mind it in ffxiv though.

Level Sync is never happening for Classic, it is Activi$ion after all, too much work for them

No one is preventing your character from being stronger. When you want to help other players in level 1-69 content you can do it freely. The other players want your help but they don’t want you to do all the work for them the fun is that it takes effort

For answers as closed-minded as these. It is that wow-classic died so fast the players do not understand what it takes to keep an MMRPG alive for years, they only see the point from a selfish perspective of what “I like to me” is the right thing to do and they don’t stop to think that your favorite game loses tons of people every day.

If you prefer to stay in stormwind afk all day instead of going to help your friends or people who need a tank or healer you are in your right. Nobody is forcing you to do anything, but part of what makes classic-wow / TBC wonderful is hanging out with other people and socializing.

In FFXIV the level sync is not necessary because you have the group finder, raid finder and LFG. This element is more necessary in games like classic-wow or classic-FFXI. Where there is no help for creating groups even the LFG addon is dead. Many people don’t understand that as an online game developer. Your main job is to keep the game alive for as long as possible, even if you must lose fans in the process, it is more important to see for the good in the long run. This was the error of the devs in classic-wow see “Pleasing the players and forgetting to be developers”
