But if GDKP is mostly done in secret and thus in smaller scale than if it was being done openly, then there would be fewer GDKP’s and thus less need for bought gold… And yet the bots persist farming at the same rates they always have.

GDKPer’s just want pugs doing very easy raids to not be a 4 hour slog, carrying bad players that don’t consume, don’t have enchants, and don’t know their rotations, to the end of a raid to have to roll against them for BiS gear.
For all that people think /roll is fair, it’s really not. I haven’t rolled above a 50 since cata raiding started. Do you think it’s fun to raid and get nothing but repair bills every week?

The GDKP organizers want to skim 10% off of every pot to sell to a commercial gold seller so that you can split the profit amongst yourselves.
The GDKP regulars want to buy gold so they can buy gear to be able to game ruin for others. Whether thru the destruction of the economy or just straight griefing by ganking. Like the dude above i quoted.
Those of us that are anti-GDKP want economies that arent blown out hyperinflated ultra Zimbabwe tier nightmares where a level 15 green costs 40g and the average BOE blue is 700+. You “people” have inflicted that on Classic, TBC, Wrath and Cata. You have a ton of servers you could pick from that already allow GDKP and where gold buying is discussed openly.
But you are DESPERATE to stay hot on the trail of the people who want to get as far away from you as possible. And this is why:
Dang bro, that’s some insane projection. SoD still has all the gold buying you’re crying about with far less GDKP’s in spite of the insane gold you get per raid and the 30 minutes of dailies.
I want to GDKP because a GDKP community is better than ~80-90% of guilds in terms of competence and I don’t have to rely on /roll to win loot.
You can hate that all you want but the only reason the SoD economy is remotely stable despite all the gold being pumped in via dailies is actually because of the changes to professions allowing bots/crafters to make far more consumables with the same amount of materials.
Anyway, largely irrelevant because it’s a 1 year season of classic where you get 2 items per boss. When half your raid is still wearing pre-bis items in AQ40 you’ll realize why Blizzard failed you guys already.

Do you want me to go record all the bots somewhere? We know gold buying is still up, who is farming it? Bots. We know that they were still especially active via the excessive summon spam in LFG, that was 99% bots. They’ll always be in the world farming herbs/mining/skinning, they always have. It’s part of why everything is so cheap as well when the bots are farming increased node spawns that drop increased resources to produce increased crafts…
