I understand DDoS attacks happen.
I understand even with the best protection they are cannot be fully defended.
I understand that you put these types of interuptions in your ToS so you can save your own butt.
But you should give us 3 days of game time because we are paying customers and we weren’t able to play for hours and hours this weekend

Pretty sure the TOS says they arent liable for it.
ALSO. I remember them compensating in the past.
Stop whining they are a company that wants you to play as bad as you do. because they make money off of you and do not want to lose your sub.

People quoting the ToS…so stupid. We understand they claim they aren’t legally liable to grant free time, though granted if someone actually wanted to sue them then there’s no guarantee that the ToS would stand up in court; they often don’t.
However, that doesn’t mean granting time to make up for the time we have been unable to use wouldn’t be the right thing to do. It is a paid service; it is expected to be available in exchange for money tendered.

Love these threads entitled little kids make because they want literally $1.50 in compensation.
Get a life

yea i agree. this is so unprofessional.
Quoting it isn’t stupid, because when have they ever given time back for server downtime? Is it the morally right thing to do considering a consumer relationship expectation? Yes.
Sadly, that’s not how companies work.
Edit: If it got to a point that downtime was making an obvious impact on stock or whatever they use to gauge this stuff, then I could see them doing something about it.
They may not have done it in years; I don’t know as I haven’t played in years. However, they used to grant extra days due to server unavailability fairly frequently during vanilla.

Right and that was because the servers themselves were crashing and responsible for people not being able to play for a day+ at a time so we got one, two, or three day sub extensions until they had it all patched up. That’s clearly not the case here.
You have access to half of the service your paying for you mean. Would you accept a half eaten sandwich that you payed full price for?
At no point can anyone access both games at once.(one sub) Try again.

Hours and hours, we’ll go on the high end and say that equals 12?
So for compensation you want 72 Hours???
12 =/= 72, weird how that works.
Why bother…I mean 3 out of 30 days is like $1.5. Do you really feel that much wronged that you need urge people for that $1.5?
I don’t understand these types of people. My time played equals out to 3 hours a day since launch. I work for 8 hours 5 days a week and splurge on weekends.
I already stated I understand blizzards point of view. The weekends are when I can mainly play and get alot of time in, it sucks we can’t get on and I was just asking for what I think is fair. I’m not sure why that makes people rage so much

Yes, it’s called internalizing externalities
We’re not raging. We just think what you’re asking for is dumb. If you can’t work for 4 hours does your job ask you to come in and work for three days free? No. They don’t. Suck it up. It’s in the terms that you agreed to as a part of your sub. if it bothers you this much you need to find another hobby to also occupy your time with.
