It’s been too long. We crave the 2 hand enhancement. We’re currently the only agility class that can’t use 2 handed weapons. With a lot of the juicy agility weapons in the last two expansions it feels like we’re getting left out of the fun with the other specs. I also think it’s high time we get the legendary earth warder tank spec. There’s no mail tank class in the game. I know we all want it I’m just posting to hopefully get more traction. strong text

Honestly, it wouldn’t be terribly difficult to put in a slightly-worse-than-dual-wielding setup for 2h weapons, same as they do for Frost DK. That said, it’s also fully unnecessary because it wouldn’t add anything at all. And unlike Frost DK’s two-handed weapons, it wouldn’t have the little mechanical convenience of not having to find different weapons for an offspec (as your offspecs are still exclusively casters).
Frankly, I wouldn’t be mad if they did this, but I also would literally never use it. It’s my opinion that there are a laundry list of other far, far more important things. Such as Shadow Priest needing a rework that doesn’t suck. That class has only one DPS spec full stop and it’s dumpster tier. Sits a bit higher in priority than “I’d like to use two-handed weapons for absolutely no real reason,” no?

I mean, maybe, but as an objective fact - 2h enhance would bring absolutely nothing to the table at all. Fact of the matter is it would require a little bit of work to implement, and probably a little more to balance, and at the end of the day it’d still turn out just like Frost DK; which is to say you’d be better off dual wielding. As well, unlike Frost DK, your 2h weapon wouldn’t even have the mechanical convenience of functioning as a weapon for your offspec to justify the lower DPS output for ease of play.
You have to realize it wouldn’t be what ya’ll are remembering. I played it back then, too. The old slot machine 2h. 98% of the time, worthless, but that last 2% they never stood a second’s chance. The rub is things’re normalized now - they’re ran off of attack power, not raw weapon damage. Those days’re long gone, you’d be better off just getting used to dual wielding like everybody else has over the past like 20 years. A 2h weapon would be nerfing yourself for no logical reason, and that’s the absolute fact, man. And if you don’t like the look of sheathed dual-weapons (I don’t), just use the elemental weapons from Legion and don’t put an transmog enchant on them (they disappear when sheathed if no visible mog-enchant).
I agree - people want WF one shots back and that’ll never happen. But, mechanically speaking, it would probably be a headache to re-implement… that’s why the design moved towards DW instead.
The tank spec though, there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s in the works.
They can at least do Xmog for 2h. I mean cmon blizzard

This right here makes perfect sense. I can’t get down with 2h “coming back” so to speak (because it just wouldn’t work at all), but the xmog thing already exists for some other classes. The one I’m thinking of right now is holy paladin with the 2h hammer from Legion being able to be applied over a 1h/shield setup, but there’re probably other examples if I looked.
I’d want it for tmog more than anything, but actually using a 2-handed axe/mace? No thanks, that wouldn’t work with Enhancement’s current weapon enhancements and would lead to requiring a rework to allow us to apply both enhancements to a weapon or make them passives you dont apply anymore, which would ruin some of the class fantasy for me far more than not being able to wield a big ole axe, also Lava Lash scales off offhand weapon. What we really need more than 2-handed enhance is Ghost Wolf customization in the barbershop, and more Feral Spirit glyphs for customization. I want to summon Feral: Dogs, Dinos, Foxes, etc. and be able to turn into all those things too from the Barbershop.
While I do miss the days of a two handed windfury proc. I fear that bringing a two handed spec into things would put enhance in the same boat as frost dk’s. Don’t want that. The tank spec though, I fully support the dev team getting behind that! Bring on the Earth Warden!

Tank shaman would also be sick because you would be a tank With lust, a short ranged kick, and the skyfury buff!? That would be an INSANE Omni tank.
I agree that 2H shaman is 100% unnecessary. However, my lordy. I’ve been waiting so damn patiently for tank shaman! SoD was a great intro to the possibilities, and that taste needs some satiation!
The idea of tank shaman has existed since the original game and in the 2019 classic launch we actually had someone go tank shaman lol. The talents made it clear along with their high threat generation that they were viable (although he couldn’t really tank past MC due to threat, but he constantly did 5mans + UBRS). It’s been a shame it was never fully explored. Tbh I only recently re-subbed a couple months ago because of talks of tank shaman likely being implemented (decided to buy WW and catch up). Seeing that rookery quest gives me hope! It’s been a highly desired class fantasy for myself and clearly the community!
