Ayo!
We have 4 tanks, 2 Fury prot and 2 Deep prot. One of each with Thunderfury. The question came up of who to give our next TF to, our other deep prot tank or our other fury prot tank. I’m leaning towards giving it to the deep prot tank as our other Fury Prot tank doesn’t seem to have a problem with threat gen, but I’m curious to hear y’alls thoughts.

Whichever one finds himself tanking more often, whichever one shows up to more raids, whichever one puts in more effort, etc.
It doesn’t matter what spec you are, Thunderfury is a threat monster either way.
They’re actually both super consistent raiders and tanks. They’re both fine with whichever person getting it, they just want it to make the most sense for the raid.
Why would you ever use a deep prot tank?

kick deep prot tanks out, you don’t need that headache
Fury prot is inconsiderate to your healers. Give it to deep prot for being a team player
Give it to whoever will commit to staying with the guild.
Seen a few tanks get TF and either stop playing or move on to a more “hardcore guild”.
lol raising the threat ceiling so all that gear isn’t wasted ends a fight before a healer going OOM is even a slight possibility. It is vastly more considerate to healers than stretching the fights out to 2-3x as long.
