Give PvE servers their own battlegrounds

Players from PvE servers, especially Pagle, greatly reduce the quality of players in battlegrounds.

Please give them their own safe space to do whatever it is they do.

I assume your era alliance. They need their own battleground to learn BG 101 because it’s hilariously easy to beat even their t3 prems

I have toons on both sides. You are correct they are playing at a different level which brings down the quality of games for everyone. This was a issue in normal classic as well.

Yeah historically pvp oriented people went horde and pve to allies. This is just a very basic generalization. There always were realy good players on ally in classic, but the horde pvp pop has always been biggrr

You take mmorpg pvp (instanced pvp at that) way too seriously

I am opposed to anything that makes me have to wait longer.

Bump - all the players that have griefed WSG today were from the pve cluster.

Please put them in their own battlegrounds, they made a strong claim to not want to pvp when they selected a pve server.

It does not make sense to put them into battlegrounds with pvp players only to have them not pvp and afk constantly. In AV there was a player from the pve-cluster AFK multiboxing 7 toons.

Or give us an option to dodge any match with teammates from pve cluster - I will wait 5x longer for a game if it means it wont be ruined by afk pagle or mankrik players.

Please blizzard do not continue to support pve players constantly trolling the pvp community because they want gear.

I play on pvp and pve servers and tbh getting to choose when you pvp is nice, instanced pvp from a pve cluster isn’t a bad thing. There just needs to be harsher penalties to afkers, botters, and griefers.

Or add MRR.

There are lots of ways to promote better games and it would suck for players on the pve cluster to get caught in the cross fire.

But it is a significant percentage of players from the pve cluster that really are a negative to the team, to the point that it would be much better to have an empty slot and wait for any whitemane player. While there are some really good players on the pve clusters - the chances of getting one are extremely low whereas the chances of getting a player that will afk all game is quite high.

This was an issue a year ago when I made this thread and still is. It is hard to see how any major culture shift can happen on the pve cluster to which they stop griefing pvp games.

If they cannot take pvp seriously, and blizzard cannot implement better / faster penalties / add MMR, than perhaps it is worth just separating the clusters. At that point, players on pve cluster want good pvp games they will have to xfer over.

It is better to have good battlegrounds on one cluster, than to have 10-20% of the team greifing every other game and then going back to hide on their pve servers.

I can only think of my love of pvp starting on a pve cluster, because world pvp for someone who was not ‘good’ or ‘experienced’ in pvp was just you being content for campers. Just would so hate for future pvp players to not get an opportunity cause the pve cluster is win trading to get gear or some-such, yknow?

I feel you, but we are talking about like 10-20% of the players from that cluster that actively greif every single game.

They may not see it that way, but they are almost guaranteeing their team will lose unless there are some really really really hard carries.

Future pvpers won’t matter if we destroy the pvp of today. Those people need to be removed from the pool or matched with themselves for Era pvp to grow.

If they were perma banned tomorrow, the players queueing would not drop by 20% it would probably increase by 50-100% within a few days, because the quality of the games would increase people would play more.

Kind of sad pvpers know the worst time to queue WSG is its weekend cause we get these give-up-garys

And like there are also new players who come to wsg for the first time and have a terrible experience.

One team will be dominating while the other half afk in the GY with a few players trying to win but with zero chance because rest of team afk.

This is why at least with the MMR route, both team will be clueless for new players - so they won’t be getting run over but instead they will have a more welcoming space to learn there are objectives and to go after them.

But even without it, if we can get to a point in which most games have all 10 players actively playing to win - it will be a huge step up from the current state of WSG.

Yeah I will always defend new players in BG’s to my death (lol), like I told this story, but this one hunter who got the flag out the tunnel then tried to mount. Yeah its funny but that dude was trying to win with all his heart. If we had MMR, he’d have some poopy games at the start, but eventually would rise by the simple fact he wanted to WIN.

yeah it is great to see new players. I have also never been upset by losing because a new player tried and made a mistake. The best pvp players are constantly making tons of mistakes.

What I find really tilting is when you have players that are clearly bad, are not receptive to feedback, and are the cause for loss. Basically the only recourse other than only queueing with premade is to ask for MMR :stuck_out_tongue:

And the thing about queueing with premade is it doesn’t really solve the long-term issue of constant good games. MMR is the only solution that can provide that across the board to all players, solo or in groups.

Exactly, a lot of new players would figure out the game really fast. Grab some rocket boots and faps and basically carry themselves out of the ‘noob’ MMR within a few days. Whereas the players that refuse to learn would stay in that bracket fighting mid and complaining that they ‘never get healers so they can’t go up in MMR’ or something along those lines.

to me, premading is a solution for a person, not a problem. its a great solution for a person, but for new players learning or botters/afkers ruining queues, it doesnt solve that

Even for a person, if a group is just chain queuing, a lot of the games will be stomps. And while its kinda fun to stomp - you don’t really get to fully play the game since your enemies are just so slow and unprepared.

The contrast is that a good team v team wsg is super draining. Very few groups will want to keep doing them back to back.

MMR fixes that by letting people get good games without having to organize with 9 or 19 other. So people can play as much or as little as they want without impacting a whole team.
