Crackling jade lighting - it sometimes knocks back targets already. This is already live.
Chi burst - it already hurls a torrent of chi energy up to 40 yards at the enemy, dealing damage to all enemies in its path.
FFS blizzard, you were this close. Combining the two abilities into a single power move won’t buff monks. They already have all the tools, you just gotta recombine them right.
Here is how it is done Ion.
Kamehameha Wave: (or chi blast)
1.5 second cast. 1 minute cooldown.
You cast for 1.5 seconds, and then start channeling a powerful beam at the target for 3.5 seconds. The beam points at, and tracks the target, but extends 60 yards from the caster. Every .25 seconds, the beam does damage, and knocks any targets caught in its path back by 3 yards. The beam does similar damage to the current chi blast.

I’d play a monk for this alone. The focusing iris rank 4 needs to be baseline for dps monks.

Master Snowdrift in Shado-Pan Monastery has Chi Ball of Fire moves, and they are basically glowing hand palms which would work perfect for the animation.
He does both red and blue verisons.

Why are people asking for something that exists as if it doesn’t?
Chi burst isn’t a hadouken. Its similar, but imagine ryu doing that same animation as a chi burst, itd look very werid. Closest thing to that is the troll cast animtaion.

I guess it depends on the race your monk is. My Mag’har monk looks almost exactly like that when casting a chi burst. So I’m satisfied with my hadouken/kamehameha even if it’s kind of a sucky spell.

Chi wave is far cooler than slicing winds and CJL.
So instead of ww having a strong CJL or slicing winds if they just made chi wave slap that would be so much better imo.
Chi wave does not need a channel after it’s cast.
