Give Man'ari the nameplate/change the racial spell icon/name

I support this idea. All races should have something similar:

Void and blood elves: high elves and Darkfallen
Human: any human nation
Trolls: any troll tribe
Dwarves: Wildhammer dwarves

And so on.

Same. :dracthyr_love_animated: It’s my default if I’d prefer the macro avoid defaulting to

It seems odd that going to the barber shop and changing your skin color would change the name plate.

Might be more work than it’s worth.

I mean, what we really need is a whole Character Customization Screen make over, remove the concept of Allied Races, and just fold them into options. It is getting bloated and convoluted.

Wildhammer Dwarves get it the worst. At least Manari are pretty distinctive. People who want to pretend to be Wildhammer have to go through the Bronzebears Heritage instead of a general Dwarven heritage.

If they do this it’ll open the door to void elves being high elves. So I doubt they’ll do it

Because Alliance players will complain that “the last time we got a new race it wasn’t even a new race and had the same racials as an existing race”.

Why not? Is it any more different then going to the barber to change your gender? In terms of difficulty I assume that was harded to code.

oh ffs. Give it a rest.

It already works with toys so the coding is already there.

I personally think it’s fine as is. They are the “Man’ari Draenei” Red Eredar who left the Legion to rejoin their uncorrupted brethren and use their dark powers for good.

Use TRP3. :dracthyr_shrug:

Just let Draenei have an option to be called “Eredar”. Because both Draenei and Man’ari are Eredar in the end, so it would work for anyone, no matter which color of skin they choose to use.

I would appreciate anything to try and make this customization more sane and respectful of racial identities!

We weren’t happy the gift of naru was changed to a felt appearance?

Wow… gratitude folks… gratitude…

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, the implementation of the eredar as a playable race was awful. It NEEDS to be an allied race, if there ever was one to make an allied race, it’s this one. You can’t just put an entire race of demons behind a skin color toggle on draenei and expect anything to make sense, now we’ve got eredar paladins and death knights running around somehow.

Blizzard explicitly said “this isn’t just draenei with red skin, these are demons, a different race”. I’m not suggesting to lock it behind rep or anything, but an allied race distinction with a class like paladin being locked is needed to prevent this from being totally lore breaking.
