Try playing the lesser faction on a PVE server, most of my raid groups can’t even get the tags on the shadow of doom, let alone have the chance to roll on a chest piece.
Also, if they make the chests tradeable within a 1-2 hour time period, I’d be concerned with friends/guildies within a certain raid help roll on any chest piece (even if they can’t use) to trade it amongst themselves. I’m not sure what other solution we have, it just seems that you have to see if you can get your chest piece in a daily kara run or test your luck in the invasions, but once naxx is out and people starting getting T3 pieces, hopefully the invasions get better and people just do to farm runes for oils/sharpening stones and not go crazy on the doom spawns/tags.
They auto tag to whichever group spends the 8 Necrotic Runes to make them attackable.
For horde on WG Tanaris is the best place to find other horde to do the event.
No longer the case. You also need to get a hit on the shade.
And it can be evade bugged by aoe taunt and stolen from you lmao
