I think the issue is that it sort of heavily encourages or requires playing a secondary character which is kind of out of line for blizzard in the context of wow.
This isn’t really a game where you just pick a different class/spec in the draft like you would another hero/champ, although I guess it’s not too far.
Healing giving some sort of prio would potentially be good? Because right now there’s really not many reasons to heal shuffle for most people unless you 1) enjoy it 2) are going for title
Make it so you can also buy the priority tokens with a noticeable amount of gold which goes to the healer in your shuffle depending on how much rounds were won.
Dude are you doing the math on this. This would reduce the number of dps in que (decreasing que times) and increase the number of healers in que (again decreasing que times).
There would 100% be a reduction in que times for DPS only players. The only issue for me is it’s not as simple to implement as people are making it out.
And I don’t think I need to explain to you (particularly from a business POV) how unbelievably stupid it would be to force players to play two characters in order to play the game.
This isn’t to mention how much fun you wouldn’t be having when you did get your priority DPS Q’s, only to Q with a healer that isn’t a healer (becuase he’s a DPS) who is just bricking the lobby intentionally so he can get his DPS speed Q.
This idea is literally riddled with stupidity that I don’t think I need to go further.
So now, instead of waiting 35 minutes for your DPS Q, you have to:
Wait 5 minutes for healer Q
Complete the shuffle (10-15 minutes)
Log in to your other Character
Collect your currency
Q for DPS
Wait 5 minutes for DPS
You’re still waiting the same amount of time, only now you’re just playing some spec you have no interest in playing just so you can pay your dues to play what you want to play?
Would make it worst for anyones not playing a healer. Cuz your math just take into accont players that would create a healer simply to get a bonus in queue on their DPS alt.
but almost every healer now, have a DPS alt. So they would just benefit from it, without giving us more healer in queues.
