What alse can I say why not… almost every melee brings something similar why are ferals left without it…
Yes please, feral needs something to make us desirable. It would of course be better if no specs were mandatory but that will never happen so lotp is our only hope
And feral/guardian wild charge baseline fr more talent options… And bleed damage… And fix blood talons working with the new berserk… And haha…
Feral isn’t alone there are 2 melee the other has even far less representation which is survival hunter. Not saying we shouldn’t get it or something else just pointing it out. I full on play feral as a main in m+ and even mythic raiding. I even have only been testing feral in beta though I basically stopped playing beta cause to me they aren’t listening so playing beta is pointless. Feral still feels bad not because of rotation stuff but cause while doing m+ I was getting destroyed by other dps specs in all aspect’s single target and aoe.
Just knowing it was going to be another xpac of fighting just to find a place in anything and the fact that the best covenant ability was as feral spec going night fae and taking balance talent and using the ability while in moonkin form, which frustrates me to an extreme. Trying to play feral spec not moonkin but to get the best out of my ability oi have to go into the other spec basically, It just tells you something is wrong. Still no changes for feral at all every week. Makes it look like they think feral is fine but you know its not cause every xpac feral needs significant changes shortly after it comes out.
The thing with feral (and I think this applies to survival to an extent too) is that they seem to be balancing with an eye to pvp. And feral zerk, bite/shred spam during zerk is quite potent in beta right now.
A decent solution, as I see it now, besides adding LotP to guardian/feral, is to increase bleed damage, specifically rip, and/or to buff the DD component of PW. It would make our dungeon damage better, especially once people incorporate more multi-pulling, and wouldn’t affect the zerk burst window in pve too much.
I concur. Lotp & bleed buff pls.
Hey, this of course sounds great…if you play feral.
But for everyone else, this will make the spec MANDATORY. It would be the only mandatory spec in the game.
Every raid would have to have one. If you’re the lone druid, you’d be costing your team a lot by not being feral.
There are less extreme solutions.
My solution would be to have ww, feral, and survival give a significant speed buff. Requiring ONE would go a long way for each and fits thematically.
Not mandatory…WANTED. Which would be a new thing for feral.
I have wanted to main feral for a long time and always talked myself out of it. The community perception of feral is bad. Its time to change that.
“Feral doesn’t bring anything to the group”
“Feral’s damage isnt that great”
“Feral is only good at single target”
“Feral’s damage isnt worth the work”
“Why bring a feral when you could bring a rogue”
Yeah just give us LOTP. Its time. Put Feral back on the map.
You could apply it to both Guardian/Feral and make it a relatively minor buff, like what Windfury totem is for Enhance - that was their solution to give Enhance something which was always overshadowed by Resto/Ele… sounds familiar for Druids right?
It’s not that much worse than DH (also 2 specs, one also being a tank) having a HUGE dmg amp buff, and similarly with Monk. Just make the Feral/Guard one less significant.
I guess it depends on what it does. If it were the original 5%crit…that’d be completely mandatory.
Considering melee are getting shat on in the expansion so far. A buff to melee groups would be welcomed by any raid. A melee group of monk, rogue, warrior, feral, Enhance could be amazing in a raid.
Blockquote
Give it to both Guardian and Feral. Sure the other essential must brings (Monk, DH, Warrior and Mage) are all classes, but the caster specs for druid don’t need as much support to score a raid spot. Especially resto.
Honestly though they should just delete these buffs and debuffs. Or make them shared more evenly across all classes.
I agree. This would fix a lot of issues for both and is a simple and easy fix.
Of course this is probably why Blizzard won’t do it.
Naw, that would be just terrible. The opposite of good. If there was no incentive to bring anything but the fotm overtuned dps, raids would still be cookie cutter comps AND the whole dps corps would be one color. Hard pass.
On the other extreme, if every spec brought a unique, non-stacking, and properly balanced raid buff, it would encourage the raid to not double up on anything, increasing spec diversity and enabling more player agency.
There are 24 dps specs in the game and lots and lots of possible permutations even if we don’t double up.
And I don’t want to hear anyone quoting the policy of no spec-specific raid buffs. Even if it were a generally good policy (I don’t think it is), breaking druids into two classes for the purpose of this particular policy makes sense because they are the only 4-spec class.
Cause a monk and demon hunter aren’t mandatory already. Also playing feral costs the team as of right now cause it brings nothing. So instead of being wanted its literally not wanted as of right now. how about mages or shamans you always have to have one of those they are mandatory too. yes those are classes but right now playing feral hurts the raid it doesn’t help in anyway right now balance can be considered mandatory it has innervate. oh or maybe a priest with power infusion wont be mandatory. Its not un heard of.
Bit of an overaction maybe but watching other specs of druid alone way overshadow feral is a real annoyance. The fact that blizz just flat out ignores the issues to is also unreal. Just looking at shadowlands and every they added is harder on melee then on range even the raids almost all melee are dying and yet somehow they don’t see this ort they just don’t care. it could be 3% it doesn’t matter its just something so you don’t feel like your hurting the group more then helping it. My guild lets me play feral but I know for a fact they would prefer me to play something else. I always get the comments about it all the time. They won’t force me but I KNOW they want me too and shadowlands has made it even harder to justify.
The double standard casting issues makes it even worse. Cyclone as a class spell should be castable in all forms it should only punish guardian and bear or brez how it only punishes feral. Its a class spell it should punish the spec within the class in anyway and yet it does balance druids should also have to come out form to cast then. OH but moonkin is a caster feral isn’t its a class spell like soothe or decurse, would put brez there but that for some reason only effects feral the double standards within the class are wrong and not other class has to deal with this stuff
Wrong DH for its Magic 5% and Monks for their Physical 5% and War for their Battle Shout, and Priest for their Stam buff, and Mages for their Int buff.
Sure you said spec, but Guardian and Feral would cover two of the 4 out of the whole class.
If every spec has an interesting / manditory ability and they are tuned correctly then each becomes a valid choice.
Can blizzard do this? experience says no, but hope says maybe?
I am in the same boat.
Same boat, and with us building the team for Shadowlands Feral looks to be the first cut on the list of what to bring, Sure I’ll raid when its on farm, and see content at some point. But already forecasted I won’t see Prog.
Other classes to do it better and easier. Also a lot of them have immunities. DH, Rogues, Pails to be specific. Kinda DK too AMZ is going to be huge.
Do Survival hunters have Turtle cause that would be another one, so only Sham, War, and Ferals left out of that melee immunity game?
They do, but I don’t expect to see any in high end mythic prog.
I will be switching to another main at this rate. I am pretty comfortable switching to assassin for obvious reasons. Frost DK and afflock also look good.
