Give everyone what they want, have both easy-mode and hard-mode raids

You have a large amount of players complaining that BFD is too hard. You also have a large amount of players complaining that BFD is too easy. Blizzard learned back in 2009 that you can’t have 1 difficulty of raid that makes everyone happy.

This is definitely something that should be explored in SoD. Allow the casual players to have content that they don’t feel like is “gatekeeping”. Allow elite players to have content that doesn’t put them to sleep. Make everyone happy with multiple difficulties, whether normal, heroic, heroic+, mythic, mythic+, hard mode, or whatever you want to call it.

imo BFD is just right.

You’re basing ‘everyone’ on a worldview most likely. Not everyone is interested in heroic raids.

I wouldn’t mind heroic dungeons and raids in SoD.

We do not need multiple difficulties to raids, that was a mistake they added in Wrath and made worse over time.

Many guilds still cannot clear Kelris. They need to either nerf Kelris again or postpone p2 another month to give more ppl an opportunity to finish BFD and possibly get the staff.

There is no reason to do either of those things, If people are unable to clear Kelris now, and the staff isn’t replaced by some blue in Gnomer than people can always go back and run BFD with the better gear and higher levels in phase 2. That being said the Staff has a painfully low drop rate so expecting to get it is laughable.

If you can’t clear Kelris, you are just unskilled or ignorant. If so, no amount fo nerfing is going to fix that …

No one wants this.

People do be dumb. Just going to keep pushing to make it retail.

perhaps at lvl 60, that might be a worthwhile option, however i’d not want the hard mode raid to drop better loot, it should just drop -more- loot, and function the same as ICC does in wrath era.

X for doubt.

I suspect that anyone who feels gatekept is likely RPing being gatekept. It’s quite easy to join groups for BFD or form your own, and as far as I am aware that’s currently the hardest content.

Posts like these have to be intentional trolling. There is no way this is serious.

Seems like blizz did a great job with the level of difficulty then.

For those that think it’s too hard, requiring their group to watch a 5 minute YouTube video and read a 2 minute wowhead guide about their class/spec’s rotation would help them out a lot.

For those that think it’s too easy, start using Warcraft logs and try to put up the highest parse you can and try to get a higher score each week. Or try to clear the raid faster than you did the previous week.

Multiple raid difficulties shouldn’t be in classic. Retail and wotlk have harder raids if you’re craving a more challenging raid. Go play either one of those.

BFD is exactly what it needs to be and as intended, a starter raid for those new to the game and a time sync for those who are not which showcases something new. Implementing heroic, heroic+, and mythic levels to these raids each phase will start a cascade of problems for the entirety of SOD. Every other 5 man or raid zone would have to have its item values completely reworked or they instantly become irrelevant. It’s already a balancing act to keep players happy with the duration of time between phase releases. Doing something like Mythic plus nonsense just blows it out of the water. The 10 mans with the quick resets have been fun, but the idea of turning some of the iconic classic raids into 10 mans is not what the majority of players want. 10 man MC with a 3 day reset doesn’t sound fun to me at all. If that’s the objective, you might as well play SOD on a cell phone. There’s a reason there’s a retail and a classic running in parallel to each other.

No one wants that. Thats whats awesome about vanilla. Theres one raid with one set of gear.

ive done raids where mobs were beating on mages and other clothies and they were in no danger at all from dying in bfd.

in fact the only mobs aside from bosses with stacking mechanics that hit worth anything are the turtles.

you can do most of the raid with hunter pets tanking the bosses and some of the trash and be fine.

it is very very ez.

The responses are proving my point. You all are arguing about BFD being too hard or too easy.

Multiple difficulties allows both good and bad players to be happy. You think a raid is too hard? Do normal. You think a raid is too easy? Do heroic. It is a win/win.

I’d like heroic bdf, separate lockout, drops no loot, has tabard at end as reward. My guild can 8 man this thing in 40 min, too easy.
