Give Elves Their Own Faction: GOOD TAKE (and others)

I think the Elven races should have the OPTION to break off into a third faction, if they so desire. It seems as if elves are being united now with their dead forms, and this way they get to have all the Elf centric ridiculous “u burnt my tree” lore they want, and it will DRASTICALLY thin the elf population on both sides, thus improving both the Alliance and Horde through the reduction of the dominance of whiny pointy eared elitists (and let’s face it, that’s what most elf players are) and lumping them all in with one another to deal with each other. They’re a mess that neither the Horde nor the Alliance wants nor deserves. All we hear about is elves. What about Gnomes, Tauren, and Trolls? Left out to dry. I say make a Third faction and let them get rid of themselves from our glorious factions.

You may say I’m a dreamer. But I’m not the only one.

The absolute mania that has taken place is conclusive scientific double blind evidence that Elves need their own faction to let the Horde and Alliance prosper

Dark Iron Dwarves are angry little evil Dwarves that should have absolutely been Horde. The same way Horde got Blood Elves in response to Night Elves, and Goblins as an alternative to Gnomes. Also, Zandalari Trolls should have been Alliance.

Goblins should be neutral.

Yes. The horde vs alliance faction war has made literally zero sense since it was introduced. Actual factions instead of maybe good vs maybe evil.

Blizzard struggles with story though, more factions would just mean tauren are still ignored, just now with less representation

But this way they’d have to spend more time on non-Elf Horde and Alliance story. Because they’d focus on the Elves in the Elf faction, so Horde and Alliance would need their own stories. They can no longer just focus on Night Elves for the Alliance and call it “Alliance Plot”.

A two faction system isn’t as flexible in the long term, it’s true. Multiple races and factions banding together for mutual survival is reasonable but eventually it’s expected that some will desire to leave said accord and the mechanics and requirements of the game prevents this currently as so much of the game is tied up to whether you’re Horde or Alliance.

It would take Cataclysm level work to make this happen but it’d be fun to have say, a Troll faction that’s hell bent on repairing the troll empires or Elves splintering off from the shorter lived races to try and rekindle their fading glory.

Even the Undead are split between people longing for a life long gone, who’re trapped in decaying husks and the Undead that have given in to the Darkness of Undeath and despise the living and Invision in their twisted minds a world of stagnation and unlife everlasting.

It’d be a great deal of work that would involve remaking chunks of the world and reworking Battlegrounds (+plus new ones) and trying to re code much of the game.

Elves don’t get along with each other, so no.

I means, I’m already pretty neutrals as it is! Wouldn’t be complainin’ myself.

Anyhoo, Night Elves really wouldn’t get alongs even to this days with their distants magic lovin’ cousins. Their own hubris with magics nearly got the world destroyed, eithah by the Well of Eternity goin’ boom or the Burnin’ Legion doin’ their burnin’ thing. Even the magic castin’ Night Elves were only recentlys brought back into Night Elf society propers.

Don’t sees it goin’ too well with the others.

Exactly. The Nelfs aren’t going to forgive the Belfs for Ashenvale or being part of the War of Thorns just because there’s a few undead ones now. And the Nightborne want nothing to do with the Nelfs anymore.

Elves don’t get along with anyone, which is why they should be “voluntarily” expelled from the factions.

I get along with a certain Troll. I don’t get along with a Classic alt suggesting things for races they aren’t part of.

I rest my case friends. You need look no further than the forums and posts like these to realize that 95% of the salt comes from sassy Elves and that alone is reason enough to give them their own faction. We’d be living in John Lennon’s Imagine world without Elves. Dwarves and Orcs shaking hands.

Because most of the trolling comes from you.

Lets give it the ‘30 Year Wars’ of the early 1600s ,which is now known as Germany, faction treatment.

You’d never know who you would be aligned when servers come up after maintenance.

Careful, certain members of the high elf brigade will come in to mass report you for calling the elves whiney.

Not happening op. Belfs absolutely hate nelfs with the fury of a thousand suns. Nelfs are tree hugging hippies worshipping a naaru and hate belfs because they believe we brought the burning legion back when we were highborne. Nightborne hate nelfs too.

No elf faction would work. Just because a species is the same in one way(pointy ears) doesnt mean all get along or have the same goals.

Its like the great ones. All are entirely unique and while they are great ones it doesn’t necessarily mean they work together or want anything to do with each other outside of sending workshop hunters to kill the ones they want dead.

We aren’t Draenei. None of us is worshipping a Naaru. Not even sure where you got that from.

I say none of us should trust the wind chimes. They are up to something.
