Give Destro another tuning

I really don’t understand how we got nothing. We were already pretty much at the bottom, and now we will be worse.

yeah I know it runs smoothly with wilfreds, but it would put it on par with combustion / kindling from fire mage as a 2 min cd since they seem to want them to work identically just one is worse than the other; infernal on a 2 min cd would work wonders for the spec, and incinerate on the move.

I’m willing to bet two sticks of bubble gum and my baseball glove that we didn’t get buffed because they buffed chaos bolt that one time.

I can only hope there is more unannounced changes to come on that patch. Destruction not getting any buffs doesn’t make any sense.

Happy frost got 9% aura buff… I must of read the notes wrong, I didn’t see Destruction on their… maybe I’ll re read it but I’m positive Destruction needed a buff as well…

Could just be me and my old age…yep no, they ignored Warlocks as usual. Standard…

Lol, no buffs for destro?
Oh man, im so glad i switched to my hunter.

I mained a Death Knight this expansion, its one of the best decisions I’ve made until things improve for Warlocks. The best advice I can give you guys still playing this class in its currant state is to find a class that you enjoy playing that Isn’t a Warlock and keep your lock in your back pocket as your main alt so you don’t fall too far behind when we do get buffed.

Haha they started buffing specs, and guess what, nothing to destro  i wanna die.

Bumping this again, destro is still undertuned and left unchanged.
Lmao, posted on my hunter, w/e.

I move across the country. Meanwhile Blizzard can’t even fart out a basic tuning patch in the time it gets me to set up again. The one thing keeping me competitive was having an ilvl advantage on my lock. Now that that’s been thrown out the window why should I even bother to stay subscribed?

Oh boy, I get to be low ilvl and a bottom tier class that is useless in both PvE and PvP. Exciting.

I agree with this overall. Like someone said MM is similar to Destro in many ways. If we are mobile like them as well why not just play MM? However, if Destro had the biggest numbers in the game, which made up for having low mobility and hard casts, it would be a unique niche. (more numbers in one burst to make up for 0 on movement)

Im actually surprised Destro turned out this way. Considering our lack of utility, and DPS only option, I figured we would make up for that in damage. However, the developers I suppose felt that Moonkins should be able to Heal, BattleRez, Innervate, give Raid movement, give a 5% stat buff, beat our entire Class in M+, PvP, AoE, and overall do about as much dmg (they are barely behind Affliction) as us in single target raiding with a vastly easier time doing so compared to our only decent spec Affliction. (Which on a general playing field means they also beat out Affliction as most people fail with it)

Oh, and just for lulz, they get a Tank and healing spec, better Class Fantasy (Night Fae makes sense for Druids but Warlocks? wtf?) better conduits, more interesting legendaries, among the best Covenant abilities.

Like… what happened Blizzard? How did it go THIS wrong? idk…

Its pretty amazing how far down we actually are. My warlock is 220 ilvl and I average around 4-4.3k overall in dungeons. I just left a +13 SD and the Hunter did 6.2k overall, rogue did 5.9k overall and I did 4.2k overall. Proper rotation, AOE build for fortified… doesn’t matter. Its no wonder I get denied to 95% of my groups, why take a lock when every other dps class completely destroys us? Affliction is no better with is ridiculous ramp up time. Seed > Vile > Agony x 5 > oh wait the fire mage and hunter did 17k dps in 3 seconds and everything is dead before you can cast 3 Raptures and you are WELL below the tank on damage. Its astonishing the numbers not being addressed. Its extremely frustrating playing a Warlock right now no doubt. My ilvl 198 DH pulls bigger numbers than my warlock and DH are considered under tuned also… sad

Destro along affliction have the most PATHETIC aoes ive seen in this game.
it feels TERRIBLE to do both and tthe damage is trash for it.

Seriously, i hate having aoe locked behind 3 shards and cata/infernal.
It feels terrible casting single target spells in packs because “LOL YOU NEED TO BUILD EMBERS TO CAST A SPELL THAT BARELY TICKLES!!”, havok has such a big cooldown and small duration for the trash secondary target damage it does too.

Terrible, give us back WoD destro aoe, exactly as it was.
For two expansions in a row i was forced to put my warlock aside to play a hunter for KSM pushing, amazing blizzard.

I was doing m+12-14s yesterday helping out a guildie to gear his monk. At 202 ilvl he was doing nearly just as much damage as I was at 220 ilvl. Amazing.
Meanwhile the mm hunter in the party at 219 ilvl did around 20% more damage than i in the end. His nf covenant ability did 1.35M damage while my necrolord did 160k (or maybe 400k ish considering the incinerates).

Our weakness isn’t only related to the class itself, but our covenant abilities really suck. Decimating Bolt is barely even worth casting. And Necrolord isn’t even close to one of the worst covenant options for us.

damn, i havnt played in 2.5 weeks, was hoping to check in and see good news = /

LFR with destruction, was unable to get out of the basement, but just buff it, don’t remove any thing we like, if only it did damage it would be great! And more mobility without jump through hoops. Buff our escapes.

Lol speaking of class fantasy, jesus… I went Maldraxxus because that felt more fitting to my character. Now I get o be the most useless dps class in the game. With the most useless and underplayed covenant.

NONE of them have seen any buffs. Why the HELL did they nerf decimating bolt before launch? The shield was not even that good so it was half the covenant that was useful and they just nerf that half and leave the already useless half alone.

Like FFS I just want to play my character. Pick my race, pick my class, pick my spec, and now pick my covenant. Not have to worry about being bottom of the barrel garbage. I want to focus on the RP aspects and enjoy ALL aspects of the game without feeling like gimped garbage.

I really wish they’d stop balancing this game around being the best of the best. Enrage timers, M+ timers, pvp metas, there’s nothing you can just casually do that has any meaning anymore. LFR is a joke you can afk through and get useless rewards out of. Heroic dungeons are also a joke that don’t even serve a purpose after mythic unlocks. Good luck trying to enjoy random BG’s as a class with zero mobility and damage.

Where do I even go? Torghast? Look at all the anima powers that buff useless crap I don’t even use because it’s almost like Blizzard doesn’t have any developers playing these specs. Thanks for buffing corruption guys I’ll totally add that to my skillbar!

casually do that has meaning…could you give an example here? that statement seems contradictory.

NEcro was nerfed because affliction necrolord was murdering pretty much every spec in the game by alot and was hilariously overpowered. they overnerfed it forsure…but it absolutely needed tuning down as it was effectively the strongest thing in the game for a while.

covs shouldve been RP/Cosmetic only i think we’re all in agreement and we are still clammoring for that change to be made and have them decoupled from player power.

unfortunately this is basically the definition of balance…how a spec performs in a competitive environment…its been this way in every MMO/Shooter/Everything.

Nah. That’s not true even for WoW. Warlocks weren’t in a great state in vanilla but people still played them. The pets were buggy and useless, soulshard farming just to use basic parts of your kit, dot caps made you not even able to do your full dmg in a raid. The itemization to buff our damage was near non-existent.

Yet still they filled a role and were fun to play. The fantasy of the class felt great. Good luck getting invites to M+8 or higher as destro/maldraxxus. The bleeding edge of vanilla was dungeons that didn’t have time limits. Or raids with 40 slots so most groups were struggling just to fill the slots and weren’t so picky on who they were inviting. They felt good in pvp whether it was in groups or a 1v1.

The difference between now and then is there’s no room for error. So you have everyone wanting to just invite the best of the best roles for whatever content they’re doing. It has nothing to do with how MMOs are. MMOs are massively multiplayer online games. Nothing about that term implies it’s a place where only the fotms get to enjoy the game.

Blizzard is more concerned with making this game some garbage e-sport than keeping it as a social RPG.

I mean think about it this way. In vanilla if there was an emergency I at least had the infernal to rely on. The CD was large but the payoff was worth it.

Nowadays if some melee starts humping your leg there’s not much you can do if you don’t have both the demonic gateway set up, and a demonic circle also set up. We are literally the only class in the game that needs to decorate the environment then walk away from the props we placed to be competitive.
