Speaking of Juga, he’s been curiously absent from epic bgs. Could it be, could it be that 2%-5% Alliance win rate that the OP alluded to?? I wonder, hmmmmmmmm… HMMMMMMMMMMMM

This is probably true. On ally side it generally isn’t worth it to play epic BGs unless you 1) don’t mind Trashran, 2) have a premade to play with so it’s more fun overall, and/or 3) still find epic BGs really fun even when you lose.
Also, why do horde think they’re good when they win epic BGs? No, you are just getting carried by your faction. Maybe it makes you upset to read the truth but there it is. Similar to how Battle for Naz is really pretty dumb when it’s dominated by multiple raids of whatever faction.
Faction is made up of the players… no automatic win because you are Horde.

When everyone who is good at the game is stacked on the red team, the red team is going to win every time. It’s really that simple. And it’s not a healthy competition when only one side can ever win epic battlegrounds.
If the Horde is losing repeatedly, they can just use mercenary mode to queue as Alliance. People frequently admit to doing this on Alliance side. Alliance does not have this option when they win only 2% of epic battlegrounds. Alliance needs a huge buff to have a chance. Blizzard should be committed to bringing the win rate close to 50% so it can go either way like with other battlegrounds.
Another option besides a buff for Alliance…is to make merc mode automatic and random for the majority faction. When you choose “random epic battleground”, both your team and the battleground are random.
With a 30% dmg buff, I would go merc mode all the way.
Plenty of good players on alliance side. That’s why regular randoms are as close to 50/50 as you can get.
Once again, this is about epic battlegrounds.
A few good players can change the tide of regular battlegrounds, but if 30 people in an epic battleground are ungeared/afk, your team just gets overpowered.
Both sides have them.
