Gimmi back my nameplate distance

it doesn’t matter what it looks like because it is not 20 yards. No, it is not an odd camera angle either.

Just do more research rather than wanting a direct nipple for proof, and you too will discover nameplate distance was never capped at 20, 30 or even 42 yards.

Actually, that’s not a bad idea. Maybe it’s time to hunt down some cheats to unlock LUA or even find a Nameplate Extender :joy:

Honestly I’ve been trying to search what the distance was and all I can find is people whining that a later patch increased the default nameplate distance to something really long and people couldn’t figure out how to reduce it because they felt it was too many healthbars on screen lol.

Oh, I thought you wanted to eat some pumpkin.

Right? I too remember stumbling across exactly that. Sad but true. There are lots of complainers on the web and on these forums.

Perhaps upgrade your search queries with advanced operators? I think you should try that, and when you dig deeper, maybe even spend a few hours searching, you’ll find tons and tons of results… just like I did.

Wait, is a nature loving druid arguing they’re more politically conservative than a priest? There’s got to be a joke in there somewhere.

The only thing I can find so far on this slow workday is that in Patch 3.3.0, nameplate max distance was increased by 40 yards, but no details on what it was before that. So for all I know the max could have been 60 and increasing it by 40 would have put it at 100. Or it could have been 20 and 40 put it at 60. Still looking.

Interestingly, show/hide friendly nameplates wasn’t even introduced until 1.12.

No, the people who are trying to disproof what the devs say should do the research.

You can’t say “This is wrong, do some research”, you have to show your proof.

Also, go frame by frame ( “.” is one frame forward, “,” is one frame backward) and you will see the nameplates appearing at 20 yards.

20 yards, get different proof if you want someone to believe this

3:59, the priest cast a 30 yards spell on a npc without nameplate

Do your own research. Get your own results.

Nobody is trying to persuade you or “disproof the devs”, but facts are facts. Nameplate distance was never capped at 20 yards, 30 yards or even 42 yards.

No thank you - get your own proof and learn to use a computer plus a search engine. I would like to respectfully offer you life wisdom too. :sunny:

Stop asking for other’s to do something for you. Do it yourself.

Hey man, have fun in Azeroth and enjoy questing and crushing those who oppose you. :crossed_swords:
