the lag during the worgen starting area makes the zone completely intolerable.
-
i may as well have had auto loot turned off
-
all of the horse riding quests are bugged, where they would automatically move for maybe five seconds and then pause for another five
-
i had one horse quest tonight where i tried to pilot it myself out of frustration and when i was almost at livery outpost the horse just died. like. i just got kicked off of it and it died completely randomly.
-
both gilneans and forsaken stand completely still during the battle for gilneas
-
iâm not competely certain whether this was intentional, considering i havent played the worgen starting area in a while, but whenever any single player attacked sylvanas during the battle, everything would stop and we would have to start over
i could go on.
i know some of you may argue that gilneas isnât relevant anymore, so it doesnât matter. but i can only imagine the glitchy-ness getting worse from here as more current content is added. so please, activision. fix gilneas.
edit: i know itâs not just my computer because everyone else in the zone is complaining about the same things in general chat.

Just throwing this out there, but try restarting your internet and your computer.
I see a lot of these threads where people complain about parts of the game playing slowly or being laggy, and I always wonder if thatâs really the game, or if itâs on the users end.
Just hear me out and give it a try first.

Iâll give it a shot, but I donât think itâs just me. Lots of other people are talking about the same issues in general chat. Thanks for the suggestion though, Iâll see what happens.
Was happening to me a couple days ago. Would take like 5 seconds to loot a mob.
And yes the horse quests were bugged I actually had to control the horse.
Patch 8.2.5 is around the corner, we get our new worgen models soon. Itâs gotta be fixed by then.
Nope. I recently leveled a worgen. The zone is full of buggy quests with people trying to help each other find a way to get through them in general chat.

can you just have someone summon you out and level some where else? I remember somewhere not sure where someone did that because of something there.
I ran inyo the same issue heres how i fixed it. Get a friend to make a new worgen on a low pop rp server. Have him invite you to his group. You will get phased onto his server with hardly anyone in it and it shouldnt lag anymore. Me and my friend were stuck on the battle for gilneas quest for 2 hours because of the bugs and lag. We tried that method and we got thru without a hitch.
Worgens can quest outside of gilneas but u cant que for dungeons or pvp until you complete the questline. We tried that too.
OK I did not know. thank you.
I think in this context, the term âliterallyâ unplayable would fit better than âphysicallyâ?
I really hope theyâll fix this before the revamp. But I see them failing to notice until the masses of new puppers report the issues.
If itâs that bad just do the âescape Gilneasâ trick and level in Elwynn.

I made a Worgen last week and encountered all of this too. Bad lag when looting, abilities delays, the horse quests were stuttering really bad. I got to the 2nd part of Gilneas as the Worgen and logged out.
Well Worgen get their updated models soon so thereâs that. Gilneas starter zone being fully functional might be awhile away yet.
This zone has been horribly bugged for a very long time. I have to wonder for how many new players this is the first WoW content they experience.

Iâm laughing. Not at anyoneâs expense, mind you (Sorry to hear people are having trouble) but the fact that this damn game is falling apart at the seams.
Itâs really sad to see a game that used to be the standard for a genre, worked on by people who had passion for what they did⌠turn into this mess of a game that is designed for maximum profit and little else.

itâs not just you. I had the same issue just a week ago starting a new Worgen. The delay on every single key click was almost unbearable.
Since it is actually an instanced starter zone for a specific race Iâd say itâs still plenty relevant. Especially since youâd have to jump through a ton of hoops to leave the starting area prior to finishing it (if itâs even possible).
Yep, you donât actually join the Alliance until you complete the introductory instance.
Battle for Gilneas has been buggy for a very long time though and they seem to have no interest in fixing it.

About a month ago I created a Worgen. The quests were all buggy and the lag was terrible. The last quest where you invade the town and fight Sylvanas was totally bugged. About 15-18 people were stuck repeating the quest because it wouldnât complete. It took 6 times re-running it to complete it. Blizzard seems to not care or have no interest at all in fixing itâŚ
