You can keep pretending people are mad about not getting Sethrak, but the fact is having two less races than the horde would still be better than having either flavor of gnome.
Its very easy to point to the lowest common denominator.

Now take a look at this thread and notice how many likes the thread has. You can make any race look aweful by choosing the most aweful mog choice for it. This also shows that you don’t even need a tabard or robe to make them look good.

All of these either use robes or large belts to cover up the diaper.
They do not look good because of any traits inherent to gnomes. They look good in spite of traits inherent to gnomes and would look better on literally any other race.
