I would love to play a gilgoblin more than any other allied race on the Horde. They are plucky and steadfast allies who are fun to quest with in Nazjatar, and the named characters have well-developed and distinct personalities. They would be the first aquatic race in the game, and I bet the character design team could do amazing art for the fins, shimmery scales, and bioluminescent hair. Plus, they would bring sea giant, makrura, and murloc allies into the Horde as well.
Iâd prefer them as a Allied Race, I feel they are too different from regular Goblins to justify that.
Regardless whether they become a reskin or an allied race, one thing I would really like to see is further inclusion of kelfin assisting the horde in some way. The taunka and ogres joined the horde without becoming a new race. I am aware that Neri does show up at the peace treaty in 8.3 It would be nice to see the kelfin be a recurring faction that aids the horde in some way in future adventures even if they werenât necessarily explicitly apart of the horde.

Precisely! Those who love Zoraâs from the Legend of Zelda series find it easy to love these guys for similar reasons.
Yeah, they definitely bring an advantage at sea or wherever we might encounter underwater or island zones in the future. If Ardenweald in the Shadowlands is where the ancients and loa go to regenerate, then maybe Gral will be there. I would like to see the kelfin interact more with Gral, since he seems to be their patron loa. Their reverence for the loa also tie the kelfin spiritually into the Horde, with the trolls especially, so they have a good reason to show up in the future and aid the Horde.
Ironically, Blizzard canât use this idea now that youâve posted it on the forums.
Corporate game companies donât implement game ideas by their customers because of the legal ramifications.
As in, companies donât cut deals with individuals in this way, which would now be required if they were to do this in any way or semblance.
And, now that youâve posted all this, Blizzard could be sued for âstealing your ideaâ if they ever used it for any reason, ever, in WoW from this point forward.
Which idea out of curiosity? I am unsure who or what you were replying to and specifically about.
Horde doesnât need a 3rd race using goblin animations.
Please not another RECOLOR Allied Race!
Just add the gill goblin features to the goblins.
The only problem is that they are so different from goblins.
Goblins are greedy, tech crazy, and frankly really annoying.
The Kelfins are brave, loyal, determined and friendly. Their story if filled with sadness and courage. Hearing a goblinâs voice and abilities on a gilgoblin is justâŚweird.
Sometimes I think to myself though. For the reasons you stated, why should they join the horde? Apart of me feels like goblins and gilgoblins should be at complete odds. Land goblins tend to pollute the land and gilgoblins are close to nature. In a way its kind of like the difference between blood elves and night elves.
An interesting thing to note. Gilgoblins canonically have eyes that glow in the dark as seen here:

This implies some kind of night vision.
Been out by the Dranoshâar Blockade dock since the patch?
Whereâs that at?

I just had a look out there by Dranoshâar Blockade and saw Neri, Vim and Poen. You can see them in the pictures here. This makes me smile. If Gilgoblins become a custom option and help or at least aid the horde in many future situations like Wildhammers do, that is satisfactory. Basically just about the same as having them as an allied race.
Bless you kind sir.
Your welcome. Its too bad Gilblin canât update the thread at the time. I am going to try to figure out what they are there for.
EDIT: To add, what is interesting is that, the Makrura and Sea Giants also showed up.
I hope weâll see more of the Unshackled in general. Iâd like to see the Gilblins in particular eventually join the Horde and become playable in some fashion.
Iâd think they would be more than willing to help the Horde for saving them from Azshara and stuff, seeing as they make great aquatic units that could assist in things such taking down Alliance ships.
Sorry for kind of neglecting the thread everyone ^-^;
I wasnât able to log on today to see for myself, but thatâs a really cool find! Though I find it funny in a way how while the vulpera are striving to be included, the gilgoblins are just hanging out in the outskirts neglected lol
Iâm sure theyâll be new Goblin skins in SL.
So I had a few ideas for custom options because I believe that blizzard will be adding a whole umbrella of custom options within subraces rather than just a single or few skins.
- Tentacle hair options similar to void elves, but more aquatic like.
- Eyes that glow on the dark. Canonically gilgoblins have eyes that glow in the dark which would suggest some kind of night vision.
- Tatoo patterns with minor bioluminescence. Tatoo patterns Iâd suggest would be dots, stripes, tribal, star and scales.
- Fins and ears are very self explanatory, but I think it would be cool to have some that look naga-like.
I am going to think of some more ideas. Let me know if you have any further suggestions that go beyond the obvious stuff.
I honestly donât want that, they are too differnt in terms of culture, aesthetic, beliefs, and other things.
Itâs not like the Trolls Tribes where, while there are differences, alot of their cultures, aesthetics, etc arenât hugely different from the Darkspear (Or the Shatterspear, who joined the Horde before the Zandalari.).

Exactly.
Highmountain Tauren? Just a pair of antlers.
Lightforged Draenei? Just extra shiny.
Kelfin are a completely different breed of Goblin, aquatic, with fins and the works. Iâm still disappointed that we got foxes over Kelfin.
