Course these forums are loaded with people saying nobody wants Gilgoblins and that they are a horrible race to have as an AR and such. Mechagnomes also get a similar reception. They get it a bit easier since, they don’t really have any clear contenders to allied races and an entire zone with lore and rep to be grinned is being built based around them. I genuinely want them and I know there are plenty who do.

This is an interesting idea. I never thought about gilgoblins as possible allied race. I am still holding out for Murlocs and Furbolgs just because they were two groups were heavily encountered in Classic.

One of the people in my guild (I wanna say the Guild Leader.) was ecstatic at the mere idea of Gilgoblins.

Where did you find that exact image? That is quite a telling piece of information. If there are data mined female Gilgoblin models, then this means it is just that much more likely they may become an AR.

At first I didn’t think Gilblin would become a contender for an allied race but after seeing the new females I’m starting to believe.

Gilblin. Didn’t you mention something about a Kajamite Splash in the ocean recently? Is it possible that these Gilgoblins we meet could actually already been intelligent? What if there has been Kajamite in Nazjatar? Even though they lost some intelligence. There is nothing suggesting Kajamite cannot bring it back.

Good idea. It wouldn’t surprise me if we find out these Gilgoblins are actually already intelligent and they gained their intelligence back through Kajamite or if Hobart just fixes them.

Also what’s the nonsense about goblins “losing intelligence”? I thought it was a perma-change. Just like elves. Once exposed, there’s no going back, and all.

Here is the actual skinny. At first it was a temporary change. Kajamite temporarily boosted the intelligence of goblins, but as it became sparse their intelligence dwindled.

However. Once they MOP timeline hit, they had been offlically exposed to it long enough that it was permanently baked into their intelligence. Now no long how long they go without it, they won’t lose their intelligence. However they also can’t gain further intelligence from Kajamite except in short bursts.
