put a new comp together with this MOBO and it has 2 4pin CPU connectors and on the power supply it deosnt have a plug for CPU , i assume it plugs in the P8 plug? so its there, do i need both pluged it? (4+4)(4+4) 2 8 pin plugs, they did,nt even give me enough cable lengh
also this new cable signal pins or whatever for video card,i don’t have that, is just the 6+2 pin good enough?
also when i installed my old video card now the fans don’t spin is there something im missing
you state your mobo but not your PSU or GPU so hard to be exact
the PSU typically has a P8 EPS 4+4 CPU connector (some old or basic ones have a single P4 4 pin CPU connector) .
both 4+4 are on the same P8 cable, you typically run it behind the mobo straight up the top and over to the 8 pin CPU connector
which GPU?
does the GPU have zero fan mode? if not, it may not be getting enough power or it may not be turned on in BIOS
i mean i got this new PSU and the cable says 600w its a GPU cable for new models i guess to improve power or something (HPWR) ,but my old card im using deosnt have that plug sso i guess im using the 6+2pin on it lol
and for the motherbaord its a new x670 auros but has 2 8-pin CPU power connecters
do i need both 2 8pins?
correct, if your GPU has a six or eight pin connector you would use the 6 or 6+2, (8-pin) PCI-e cable.
that is your 12VHPWR cable (therefore your PSU is ATX 3.0 / PCIe CEM 5.0) and would plug into a GPU with a 12 pin connector (the cable itself is 12pin +4 sense pins). The cable is set for 600w. Those tend to be top lines of GPUs with higher power demands.
OK, your title says X370 auros. So this makes sense and I’m guessing you have the Elite X670 (giga has several x670 auros I believe). Your mobo should have ATX_12V/ATX_12V1 ATX CPU connectors. Connect the P8 EPS cable to the ATX_12V (on the left when looking at the mobo from the front). The second connector is there for over clock stability if needed and does not need to be plugged in for use.
