but if i can’t choose which wow version the mount and pet go, they are like that fruitcake you keep getting and re-gifting. 
Seriously, there is NO chance i will play classic because of a pet or mount i don’t have in retail. I collect pets, but those classic pets will not count for my total collection, so a waste of time for me.
Would it be game-breaking to let players pick the version they play and where the rewards go?
They just need to treat the pets the same way they did the BC and Wrath Classic mounts: same one in both games, slightly higher resolution for Retail.
It’s just a moneygrab. They’ll release Swoopy eventually in retail, just like they did for Blub. But, you’ll have to pay again, of course. Meanwhile they got a 6-month sub (at least) from everyone who thought they were getting Swoopy.
Just spread the word that Swoopy is not for retail. They do not make it obvious.
Wait, was Blub in the in-game shop? I got it this month, I paid but only in trading post tenders lol. I hope we get this owl pet in the trading post too
