Tried to post in my original thread, but it won’t let me for some reason:
I went to Hazelnutty on Twitch, hit the “Subscribe” button and paid for (2) subs @4.99 each. I received a thank you e-mail and started looking around for the code to redeem my pet. No code. Then someone tells me I am supposed to gift them to some random poster on the feed.
I go back into Twitch, trying to find the two I bought and gift them to someone, but nope, no trace of them that I can see in that confusing mess of menus. I also found out that I am now on a monthly renewal subscription. I don’t use Twitch so it’s all pretty new to me, but do I have to forfeit the money I paid and buy two more to get the pet?
I really don’t like this, they should have put him on the store and given the money to charity.
Any help would sure be appreciated.

Check your twitch notifications.

Did you connect your battle.net account to your Twitch account? That’s step one.
They explained it pretty well and it literally said “GIFT SUBS” which is a button right beside the subscribe button on twitch.
Instead of buying 2 subs for yourself, you were supposed to gift 2 subs to a streamer.

OP you should see this.

Press the Gift a Sub button.
You bought a subscription, you need to gift them. I’m pretty sure you can’t undo what you did, so if you want it, you’ll have to spend another $10.
When you press the dropdown next to Subscribe, there’s two options:

You need to use Gift a Sub.
Choose 1 (It only offers 1, 5, 10, etc.), then when it gets to payments, you can change it to 2.
I gifted two subs to a guy named Rezoli and I received a twitch notification with my code after a few seconds.
It does need to be gifted subs, not regular subs.
OP when you finish gifting the subs. You will see this at the top of the page by your profile picture.

Press the middle one that looks like an inbox/filebox.
It has notifications and you’ll find your code there.

Most players can’t be bothered to read. That’s why we have LFR.

Yeah, I’m old, I thought I was giving the cash TO the streamer, which, as it turns out, was correct. Thanks for the snark though.

No you can gift them to Hazel as well… the code will show up in your twitch notifications with a link to the blizzard servers to claim it… you have to type it in tho.

Thank you, that worked. Judging from some of the less than helpful responses, people are cranky about launch. Appreciate it, happy launch day.
lmfao, this was my problem as well. Didn’t think to look in the inbox… gifted two other subs and came to look… LOL… Thank You.
it was a broken design…i had to view the code (took a photo with my phone) in my Twitch notifications (icon on the upper right) and then enter that manually into the blizzard link that popped up when i hit the Twitch notification. terribly broken system not sure if thats on blizz or twitch but it was bad
I tried to gift a cpl subs but my problem is that it won’t complete the purchase it keeps saying unexpected problem and I’ve tried on a cpl different cards and now on different days
I gifted two subs and never got the notification in Twitch that I knew was supposed to show up. I have a screenshot showing the subs but no notification. Anyone else have this issue?
The Streamers have to be actively streaming when you gift them those subs…if they are not online they don’t count…I made that mistake with Hazel and had to gift two more subs to her to get the pet…
