Yep, I miss the heck out of this guy.

He understood PVP in my opinion. He made it fun and what kept me subbed.

Looking forward to see what he brings with Riots new MMORPG.

Who I really miss is Metzen.

He was great to watch at Blizzcon. He always brought a lot of energy to the stage.

I liked him but as with all things in wow when he was part of the team all people did was complain about him

That would be an unpopular opinion when he was around.

Wasn’t he in a shot at the Cosby Suite?

No he wasn’t

A quick Google search shows he was in one of the pictures.

Also that apparently in 2013 he tweeted "There must always be a Cosby suite "

Which uh… seems to have aged poorly.

Hmm, that’s strange.

When Ghostcrawler was here, you were all treating him just as you treat Ion.

There were a lot of complaints about Ghostcrawler. Maybe 20% of it was things he was actually responsible for.

Paladin nerfs? Ghostcrawler.
Wrong size Horde baseball cap sent from Jinx? Ghostcrawler.
Got the runs after eating at Chipotle? Ghostcrawler.

As if the forums didn’t hate him then as much as they hate Ion now.

I think all anyone really misses about Ghostcrawler is that he actually talked to us. I had several direct twitter exchanges with him, back in the day. To be fair to this team, though, the internet was a smaller place, then.

I think Blizzard is really failing hard to maintain good PR presence these last few years. They need to be out infront of some kind of media biweekly, minimum.

After all the revelations of what it has been like to work at Blizzard I am not sure how I feel about any of the past leadership in WoW.

You have no idea who he is, do you

This was the truth

The biggest difference is that Blizzard seems to think everything MUST go out through a streamer, these days.

Think back to how many streamer interviews GC did. Almost none. He talked to the players directly.

These days, everything is an “interview” and the streamers dictate the entire basis of conversation about the game.

It’s dumb.

Every WoW leads were hated. The GD and classes forums were pretty angry (and that’s being kind) at him too back then. Just like it is now at Ion. So to say we need him now is a bit of revisionist history.
