Ghost towns in WoW

Is anyone else just a little enamoured for the fact that there are ghost cities everywhere in WoW. It feels like a dead game especially if you go to places like Dalaran or any other capital.

I say we add more npcs to fill that blank space because it’s so weird entering these empty cities

No clue what you mean. There’s always people when i go to major cities.

EPL has a real ghost town!

IF and SW have been the main Alliance cities forever, but the other ones definitely tend to be empty.

Have you tried rezzing? If you’re seeing ghosts everywhere it might mean you’re dead. :ghost:

I was tripping over people out in the world-- Players are leveling and really you have everything you need in the new cities.

AH, Bank, Mogger-- there’s really no reason to head back to the older cities once you start BfA content.

I was just in the exodar and there was a bunch of people running around.

Might be a dead server problem not a dead game one. My servers cities are highly populated at all hours.

You can blame their awful insistence on forcing us into Stormwind/Orgrimmar. Give the other cities the same amenities and watch how spread out people will get as they hang out in their actual favorite cities.

It depends on your server, I recommend playing on a High populated or full server if you want to see people actively

www (dot) wowrealmpopulation (dot) com Some servers have died down and others went to bigger servers

Most people are in Orgrimmar/Stormwind or Zuldazar or Boralus

Goldshire has always been the chill hub for Alliance when they are done doing stuff, however now a days most people just quest and hang out in main cities that are the most useful to them with more portals etc…

On my server Horde all are in Org if they are not out doing something.
All the other cities have been ghost towns for as far back as Wrath.

More npcs in old cities is something I could get behind, and blizzard could sneak in more easter eggs too. I really doubt it would take many resources to do & helps immersion even if there are some players there

Thanks to the Scourge, there are some literal ghost towns in WoW. Aren’t they great?

and most people are on during peak hours, a lot of the player base i’d imagine is 15 and older

most have obligations (Family, school, work etc)

Irrelevant content will always get empty unless blizzard makes it relevant for majority of us to go back

Yeah, this right here is the problem.

Orgrimmar/Stormwind has the portal room, boats/zeppelins, AHs that don’t require you to be an Engineer, and so much more!

What do the rest of the cities have? Portals too Orgrimmar/Stormwind…

I miss having my Hearthstone set to the Shrine of Two moons :frowning:
