Ghost + sun = šŸ”„

Check Amazonā€¦ They have SPF 100 stuff

Bah I need SPF 1000ā€¦hmmm or is that just cloth at that point?

I somehow manage to be the colour of snow without burning badly, even if I stay outside all day.

Iā€™m really not sure how.

Is it weird that I tan up just fine thanks to my heritage but I prefer the night because itā€™s better in general?

I think that is because nothing but your fantasticly fluffy white beard shows.

Good point! My beard is so glorious that it outshines the sun and protects me from harm.

I meanā€¦ thank you! Iā€™m super humble about my beard.

Maybe I should reroll to a beardadin rather than a warriorā€¦

Aloe if you have it.
Iā€™ve also used bactracin zinc oxide on burns in our house and it works well, my daughter had clinical stuff for a burn she got on her leg, it would work for sunburn.
Or 4. Try vinegar. According to Dr. King, a popular folk remedy is to use white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar to relieve sunburn pain. She admits thereā€™s no science proving it works, but says that it canā€™t hurt to try it. Just soak a cloth or towel in a solution of half vinegar, half water and apply it to the affected area.
Itā€™s probably the cheapest and people tell me all the time that it works.

I slathered my self in the green aloe vera goop. I looked like a snott monster.

I did try wet towels but I did not know about the vinegar thing. I will try that tonight, it may be too late though.

:microbe: beware the green goop!

Yes, Iā€™ve not been in the sun for over 25 years (52 now.)

My early 20ā€™s was the last time I tried to ā€œtanā€ at all, realizing that I donā€™t at all (getting blisters the size of dimes one time.)

The best part is seeing people my age, especially females, who really went hog wild with the tanning thing; They look 20 years older than me, with skin like saggy leather.

Iā€™ve had the best experience with stuff like Coppertone sweatprooff/water resistant, when I had to be in the sun, spf 15 or more.

The vinegar might help sooth it, I would just try a small area, Iā€™ve learned lots of home remedies over the years.
Antiperspirant or isopropyl alchohol on mosquito bites for itching
a teaspoon of flour in half a cup of water, and drink it, works better than Immodium AD, itā€™s not too bad. I used to have irritable bowel, donā€™t any more. Probably tmi, but maybe this will help someone out there.
I could go on, but yeah the otc and drug companies make a lot of money off of us when there are natural alternatives out there.

runs from green goop monster! lol

Coppertone sport really works well for me Iā€™ve sat out at a demolition derby for hours and didā€™t burn with that stuff on.
I too avoid getting really tan, burn. I donā€™t avoid the sun, so I get a light tan sometimes.
Thereā€™s a woman whoā€™s my age that tans and she thinks sheā€™s hot stuff but she looks 70, People alway think Iā€™m in my 20s and Iā€™m 53.

Iā€™m looking at the calendar, and it is 0% Sunday. Away with this thread!

Guys olive oil is the best sunblock
Thank me later

It works for me and Iā€™m seriously that bright shining white type of personā€¦ You just have to get it on right awayā€¦ So you come inside and feel the burnā€¦ you put it on right awayā€¦ It needs to be wetā€¦ again it will stingā€¦

Several years ago we went to ā€˜Coco Beachā€™ā€¦ yeah the one from I Dream of Jeanieā€¦ I was only out for about 2 hours but man did I burn. We stopped by a small convenience store and picked some upā€¦ I soaked my beach towel and used it on the burn. I was able to sleep on my back that night and I wasnā€™t ungodly hot like you get after you burn and youā€™re cooking from the inside out.

I used a lot of regular lotion the next morning to get some moisture back into my skin and all was right with the world.

I feel ya - I am the same way. Even when I slather on 50 sunblock (yeah, yeah you naysayers can be quiet) every hour for 3 hoursā€¦still got burnedā€¦

It sounds stupid but the best way to deal with sunburn is hot showers.

It takes alot of the pain away.

Start at luke warm and keep turning uo the heat umtil your close to your normal showet temp.

Itll hurt but afterwards it wont be too bad.
