Do you not understand the difference between rare and unobtainable? Really? And you’re going around being rude to people. Bold.
How do you know?
Do you not understand the difference between rare and unobtainable? Really? And you’re going around being rude to people. Bold.
How do you know?
Since the beginning, there have been rare items that were removed and unobtainable…Scarab Lord for example. You playing stupid doesn’t eliminate this simple fact.
You first buttercup, since you completely made up the original premise.
But you didn’t say that. You just said rare items.
Figured you had nothing. My premise is based on myself and friends who spend a lot of time collecting appearances. We venture into other MMOs and lots of them feature heavily cash shop or FOMO style cosmetics and we will quit, because there is nothing to play for. Wow was always different. Yes there were a very small number of unobtainable items like elite PvP sets, but the trade post takes it to another level just like those other free to play games.
That isn’t WoW, so it’s irrelevant.
Except, well, most of the trade shop items have already started to rotate back through, and they’re literally free if you just play the game.
You’re whining for the sake of whining, very much like a toddler.
Lastly, I’ve played this game since vanilla, and of the hundreds of people I’ve played with over the years, no one has quit because of an item they couldn’t get in game. Go learn what anecdotal drivel is before making things up.
I got all of the druid skins from the mage tower and some of them (the bear in particular, since I didn’t have the proper legendary for it) were a lot of work to get. I got several other weapon skins from other classes as well.
While it’s nice to have something exclusive like this, I do think they should still be available. I figure, if people can still get a hold of class mounts from Legion by putting in the work for each one, why keep the mage tower skins and transmogs locked away?
While it would require some work to balance it with each expansion / tier - so it’s proper difficult, I do think they should just have them available through the mage tower as they were originally. Maybe they could just force you down to a specific item level when you start it so it stays a challenge?
Bonus points for adding something in there for Evokers
This is downright Selfish of you to feel this way.
I wasn’t around for Legion due to my work overtaking, but i too have been around since Vanilla. Why should i be punished and not allowed something I’ve wanted since its conception.
Why do you get to enjoy the spoils only because it was timely convenient for you? and everyone else gets to daydream about it?
Do you Disagree only because of that very reason? Seems that way to me.
I think veterans should be rewarded for their dedication to the game. I also think that devs should release equally as cool and awesome skins/transmogs. It’s not like pleasing veteran and new blood is mutually exclusive.
As someone with the form I’d be very happy if they brought it back for other people. I love seeing people run around with it as much as I enjoy using it myself.
Also the only requirement to aquire it was “play during legion”. I hit level cap on a druid and went and got it that same day. It was by far the easiest mage tower appearance. I would not in any way feel slighted by having more people be freely able to enjoy it.
Ironic given your sense of entitlement for something you didn’t earn.
This is the only valid response:
Explain how it is entitlement to want to earn something?
Because the challenge to earn it was removed… The current mage tower is not the same.
It doesn’t have to be the same. It just has to be challenging.
Being entitled means you believe inherently you should have something. People wanting the chance to unlock something doesn’t fall into that catagory. Unless they just want it mailed to them I guess.
Let’s also not pretend the mage tower was challenging in Legion. It’s literally a case of ‘Did you play the game in 2017?’
He wants something that was announced, for over a year mind you, as time gated. They, being Blizzard, went out of their way to announce to the world to get your appearances before they go away. This is the text book definition of entitlement.
Liberal by chance?
Is being liberal supposed to be an insult?
Let me know if you have anything relevant to add.
It’s not being “punished” to miss out on something, though. Sometimes it just happens. Are you being punished because you can’t get Scarab Lord? Are you being punished for missing out on bitcoin when it costed fractions of a cent? McDonalds had pizza once, maybe you’re being punished because you can’t get one today. Come on, lol.
I get to enjoy it because I pursued the content that was advertised as limited time only, during the limited time it was available. I heeded the warning that it would be limited time, and made sure I made the time. You did not, as other things took priority for you. That’s okay.
I don’t think there is anything wrong to want the things I hunted during a small window of time to stay limited as they were intended-- especially when it was frequently, repeatedly, and loudly advertised that that is how it would be at the time. The prestige totally comes from the rarity, and I’m not even remotely ashamed to admit that.
As other posters have mentioned, the real and best solution is that there just needs to be more cool skins released.
I am still willing to put in the effort for it though… I wasn’t able to fully complete legion because of my work at the time. It was a busy period of my life, I don’t think that’s really my fault there. I wish I could have been around for it fully, I did give it a go with the amount of time i had available, just didn’t get it all the way on those pre quests back then.
I’m Denied it, I’m telling you, I’m someone who feels they’ve earned the right to at least have another crack at them.
I don’t think wanting to enjoy those forms like everyone else who could conveniently put in the effort from some “Prestige moment in time” should really matter.
I’ve been not enjoying NOT having them this whole time and that makes me entitled in saying so?
That’s not a very nice thing to say. I’m just expressing my disappointment in not being able to acquire some of the coolest stuff for druids.
Why is it seen as “their time and effort” When I’ve put in just as much, if not more?
Louder for the people in the back~
You obviously haven’t, else you’d have the forms. I don’t really care that you were busy during Legion. There is nothing wrong with time-gated rewards for people who play during those times. There are things I like and missed out on, but I don’t whine about them because I wasn’t playing and/or didn’t get them.
You may not like it, but your entire post is one of entitlement. The simple fact is you don’t deserve them. You weren’t playing and didn’t get them. What you should be doing is asking for new rewards to be developed and implemented. There have been time gated rewards (gear, mounts, etc…) since the launch of WoW. It’s a reward for playing and earning them.
And I don’t really care that you don’t care, simple as that, your thought out logic is wrong in my eyes. you don’t get to say that for me.
As said…
A good middle ground for the delusional meritocraty pixeled belivers and lets just have fun believers is new skins…
Enough to fill the cup.
