Ghost of the Pridemother TWW

The expansion is right around the corner, Feral Druid got some love and it’s a great time for players to try out Feral Druid. Except for the fact that there are so many nice Transmogs that are literally unobtainable, I’m sure players would throw a fit if they were accessible from the Traders Post but it would be nice if there was a way to obtain Legion transmogs for new players.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk

I agree. We should have access to the sparkly cat or at the very least a recolor like bears got.

It’s my favorite cat skin and not having access kinda kills my motivation to play feral druid.

To the nay sayers, you’ve had your “exclusive” skin long enough, let other players enjoy it too.

I guarantee I wouldn’t give half a :poop: if I had something that other players missed out on but could suddenly now get. For example, I got the Grove Warden mount in WoD and if they just gave it away on Twitch, I would not effing care in the slightest.

Blizz should add more recolors from magetower forms like the illidari werebear

I don’t even care how bad the color is. Make it PP yellow for all I care. I just want a sparkly cat

I think a re-color would be swell. White would actually be great, considering it is more of a “spirit” form.

The bear was added because it was a completely unique model with unique animations, which was unfair.

Sparkly cat is not a unique model.

The Mage Tower weapons were specifically advertised as never to return.

They should not come back.

If they want to add recolors of the mage tower weapons during a legion remix, itd be a fair compromise as long as the difficulty was still hard.

I support adding back all limited time cosmetics. I didn’t play in MoP, but that challenger mode Druid set looks incredible.

I have the legion Druid forms, and I support bringing them back.

“Fair” and “unfair” is subjective.

They were also originally released as spec-specific skins you had to transmog on your weapon.

The kity models were only for feral but stuff changes and after opening the skins up in the barber shop for all specs, it’s “unfair” we didn’t know back in legion that that would happen. What if I want to mog sparkle cat, mythic dungeon glowy bear and glyph of stars all on my Balance druid? You coudn’t do that in Legion but you can now… only if you got the exclusive skin when it was spec locked.

I know life isn’t fair but you could make an argument had people known the skins wouldn’t be spec locked more would’ve tried to get them, self included, not to mention the “unfairness” of new players never even having had a chance to get them at all in the first place.

Exclusivity is just dumb and needs to go. Save that for titles and achievements if you need it, not something as major as gatekeeping arguably the coolest cat form in the game so a few people can feel special.

I’m of the opinion that it is not healthy for a game if a new player immediately sees an exclusive that they want. They tend to make the assumption, which in the case of WoW is kind of wrong, that this is a FOMO game that is littered with that kind of garbage.

I believe Druid forms fall into this level of exclusivity, and I think anyone with the Ghost of the Pridemother should know that, since I know I tend to explain half a dozen times a year that it is unobtainable and an old exclusive to new players who ask where it comes from, and I have never seen anyone that was excited to learn that.

Honestly? Unique is subjective. To me, the sparkly cat is unique. It’s really as simple as that.

Unfortunately wow is moving in the FOMO direction which is sad. Trading post skins, remix skins, etc.

I agree, one thing I always loved about wow is that very few items were unobtainable. You just had to put in the work. Not anymore.

The overwhelming majority of stuff can be acquired whenever, yeah.

Withholding the forms is silly. And attaching any sort of prestige to possessing an ‘exclusive’ form is a bit pathetic. This is a video game for Pete’s sake.

Let people have the stuff. Make it a challenge. Only creates more content for players to engage with.

A unique model is not subjective. It is an actual term in gaming.

The Sparkly cat shares it’s skeleton/model with the default cat form, therefore it is factually not unique.

The Were-Bear was a brand new model with new animations, making it unique.

I changed my mind. Nothing in the game should be limited time only. But the Mage Tower skins should be just as difficult to obtain.

Yea I’m fine with a challenge to obtain stuff; I just don’t like when they remove cool stuff from the game like that. I don’t think a re-color is to much to ask, but I’ve been asking since BFA and nothing has happened so I’m not holding my breath

yea they gotta make that the feral exclusive mage tower reward

would be good since most people did the druid challenge on guardian so not many did the feral version

This right here blizz. Druids are already limited to cosmetic forms as is and the coolest ones are no longer obtainable. Even if it’s a different color variation, these skins need to be available. They’ve been walled off long enough.

While we’re at it we should bring back AOTC mounts. Whenever you beat AOTC in a current raid you get a token that allows you to purchase an old one, so it’s still the same difficulty and they’ll still be rare since you can only get one extra per season.

I had character development, I’m all for bringing it back now.

Just realized the good points that I don’t like all the fomo. And I thought how I would feel if I was someone who really wanted the sparkle kitty but didn’t have it. Didn’t feel good.

I’m sorry but I vehemently disagree with all of this. WoW is not “moving in the direction of FOMO” – it has always had a very limited amount of things that are exclusive to an era. This goes back as far as Vanilla with Scarab Lord.

The very small handful of other once-limited-time-now-unobtainable items are cool for older players as a way to highlight their time in the game. I am a long time druid player who has all of the now unobtainable goodies and I’d feel pretty hoodwinked if things that were advertised to me as exclusive (thus pushing me to play as hard as I did at those respective times) were suddenly available again.

It’s different when they weren’t advertised as limited time only-- like the T3 sets. That makes sense to re-introduce them because there wasn’t ever an indication that they’d be removed. You guys are literally asking Blizz to go back on what they sold.

I get the feeling of missing out, for sure. I don’t have all of the unobtainables for my alts, and I sometimes see players in things that I think would be nice to have. And then I think, “good for them” and I move on with my life.

Be present for the next round.
