GG Blizz. Serious Fundamental Issues

Venthyr warrior is godlike, why wouldn’t people pick the most fun choice?

Night Fae druid? Most fun ability and druid fantasy.

Lots of people play video games wrong, I’ve never been that way.

So what if Blood DK was good at both M+ and Raiding. What would you do?
Disc Priest is good at both.

Did you make a thread complaining about how Holy Priests should be the best healers in M+, Raids, and solo play?

Because it’s the same thing. Resto Druids are hands down the best M+ healers. You’d be gimping your group of you didn’t bring one.

Or in the form of content, R Druids are #1 in M+, but not so much in raids. Clearly a design flaw right?

Holy priests do great in Raids, and not too bad in M+. But still not #1 in every aspect.

So does this mean that you don’t bring Druids to raids at all? And that Priests have to stay away from M+ because they’re “subpar” ? And as such, being a horrid design flaw, should Blizzard just delete both of them and create a master healer that is #1 in everything

Also; im not arguing class/spec tuning.

People don’t want to just play games anymore. They need to pretend they’re that top cutting edge players at all times (the ONLY place covenant performance differences even matter).

There’s nothing wrong with choosing a covenant you like, for the content you like the most, or the aesthetic or whatever reason and then doing your best with it.

But, unfortunately in this community everyone is the Best WoW Player Ever and they’re gonna prove it by trying to emulate what the actual cutting edge players do.

Having no problems just choosing what I want to choose. If some idiot thinks I’m bad at the game for it, then that’s entirely their loss.

What would I do?
I think you missed the point I was making haha…

My point is, I will be playing a Blood DK because I love it.
I will also be playing a Night Fae Blood DK because I love that too.

I don’t care that its not best for raiding or mythic+.
I picked it because I identify with it, and enjoy having it.

After that decision is done, I begin the maximization process.

So they should nerf or buff Kyrian or Venthyr by that logical. I would welcome that. I guess.

Is it cheating when I’ve said it several times, and I couldn’t care less about the power aspect because I’m ultra casual at this point and not at all invested?

LOL true. The aesthetic of being the best in the world. Look at my choices, can’t you tell how good I am when I sit on my mount in the city? Isn’t it so great that I am such an elite player because I do everything right? You can take a cookie cutter of the best setup, and it fits right around me. I am pog.

But why are you defending the fact that there is a weaker choice in a system that should absolutely be unrelated to player power?

Very cynical. I like it. However seeing as Boon of the Ascended does mad aoe damage while healing it is undeniably better at Mythic +
Venthyr lines up with burst windows making it a better healer in raids.
I see what you tried to do though.

How about 8200 of them?

Because you already make choices to be weaker in many other decisions no one questions.

If you want to maximize, you will be changing your class for every single fight in a raid, every dungeon, every battleground, every single thing in the game.

Are you doing that?

You think picking power is the wrong choice? In single player games, it’s all about preference - but that’s not how it works in MMOs when it comes to borrowed power like this.

They’re quite likely picking the power on mains, and actually experiencing the Covenant content that they care about on alts. That’s stupid design.

If you are ultra casual and not invested; are game design issues and forums arent for you?

Those decisions to be weaker are very rarely, if ever, attached to significant story content.

Also, don’t be facetious. A person wanting to be as strong as they can be for their team - and even individually - on their main isn’t the same thing as players trying to min/max as hardcore as that.

You’re arguing with me. I’m on your side with how bad this design is, and it’s from a casual player. I used to be a hardcore player - which is why I recognize how detrimental this kind of design is - and this doesn’t actually impact me that much, but I have empathy for other players.

On my hunter I picked kyrian because I like the aesthetic most for my hunter. On my warrior I picked venthyr because I liked it the most according to my values and personal fantasy. I am going to go kyrian on my paladin because that’s how I want to feel. My rogue is going to go necrolord because I like the aesthetic and the permadot ability. My mage is going nightfae because of the ability and aesthetic.

Every single choice I am making is the choice I want to make and I don’t feel bad about it at all. I will make enough alts to experience all the covenant fantasies I want to experience. Every one of them.

Cool, and it’s the same for me. But you’re missing the point - just because it doesn’t affect you doesn’t mean it’s not a problem.

I know where you are coming from and its the reality I have accepted.

Easier covenant swapping while slowly improving the balancing issues that exists between covenant/spec is a highly desired solution that I would love too see other players entertain at least.
