Yeah apparently you have to kill the boss to get the rep and there’s no incentive to defend.
When they said they were making it like AV I didn’t realize they meant it in the sense of encouraging players to ignore each other and zerg the bosses.
I am so confused honestly, they’re actively encouraging people to NOT PvP.
Maybe they saw the popularity of AV and thought it was because people liked it and not because it was simply the most efficient way to farm honor. WoW players will literally pull out their own teeth if it got them rewards 0.001% faster than the intended method.

Very little thought, knowledge, testing and effort was put into SoD and it’s showing. But who expected any less?
I defended which was actually fun because you get a huge buff… But you get ZERO REP even if you win :d

I’ve had three games total now where we’ve both won AND I fought the final boss but did not receive the bonus rep. It appears to just be busted.
They Probably Halted The rep reward because people are skipping the entire event and going straight for the final boss. The classic team works fast, just try and breathe, it will be fixed soon.
They dont want it to be played like AV

Unfortunately not the case, most people in my raid were getting the rep, but a few didn’t in one of my games. It seems random and hopefully it gets addressed.
Edit: These also weren’t back to back games where it bugged out on rep, this was over the course of the past two days.
I would love to play defense but it’s pointless and no one is going to be there to help either.
