You used to need 1.3-1.6M a week for 3 months.
Now you need 400k for like a month.

Honestly it should just be a honor req to rank up. Honor brackets/weekly requirements are lame. Classic is already just raid log simulator with how boring it is. Atleast let us spam AV at our own pace.

Yep. It’s easily doable in 2 days and very easy in 3 days.
Take a long weekend on the weeks you need over 400k honor. It’s only like 3 weeks.
Just 3 days of PTO.
420k is 21 hrs of farming. That’s nothing.

Yeah, the weekends shave a decent amount of time off. It’d be about 28-30 hours on a regular weekend.

Yes we did do that. We were doing 900k to 1.5m caps our final weeks to prevent breakers during the BWL phase on Heartseeker.
I personally lost 50 pounds ranking and lived on dabs and 5 hour energy.
Yes, and they usually weren’t getting as high HPH as people are in AV right now, I’ve gotten as high as 25k HPH in AV on anniversary which smashes any 2019 premade
Not to be boomer esque but that’s why r14 used to mean something, that you had no life 3 months, that’s why you don’t see many people with that title in mop
People complaining that this grind is too long is proof that you can’t make everyone happy

Yes, they did it for 12 weeks straight without breaks.
They did over 14 hrs a day of BGs and world PVP for 12 straight weeks.
Horde had 2+ hr queues for AV. They had to world PVP between queues.

It definitely was. I was only able to do it because of COVID lockdowns. If it were now with the old system wouldnt able to.
It was one of the most infamous grinds in the game for a reason, up there with the insane title
I know a few people who did it back in 2019/2020, most of them stopped playing for a while after it, pretty much none of them will ever play wow that much again

It was terrible and the main failure of the old devs. It was their biggest screw up in Vanilla.
I did the insane, scarab lord, and rank 14. Rank 14 grind dwarfs those in terms of sheer hours. At least in the old system.
Wasn’t it more like 500k-1 mil back in Classic 2019?
