We all know how trash M+ is for loot, but what about the raid? I have 25 heroic boss kills on my main, and I’ve gotten 4 drops. 3 have been the SAME BELT from Devourer. 4 drops is fine I’m just mad about the duplicates. Many of my guildmates are experiencing the same duplicate loot situation and its demoralizing. I did Ulduar on an alt last night and 3 out of 4 pieces I got were legs, like wtf?
Aaaaand…I just looted another belt from Artificer… /facepalm

Duplicate loot is a problem. Getting duplicate pieces from raid drops and getting duplicates from quest and vault rewards should not happen, especially when these gear pieces have historically been, and in some cases are still listed as unique.
You can get a reward of the same item when the game isnt even supposed to allow you to hold more than one. Its a problem.
200 belt from shriekwing, then 213 belt from shriekwing on heroic, then the 213 belt again from the weekly chest, then the 213 belt again from vault, then the 200 belt again the next week.
On my pally, timewalking chest gave me a trinket i was already using… that im not supposed to be able to hold two of.
That should NOT be able to happen. Its lazy. You could still give a random item that the receiver doesnt already have in their bag or equipped.
The problem isnt really the quantity… its the insane duplicates.
The whole “playing more rewards players” argument simply isnt true. It CAN is very, very different than it DOES.
And this doesnt even touch on getting items that make no sense for your loot spec just because your character can equip it.
if the alternative is nothing, i’d take the dupe for disenchanting. Just sayin’. This also happened a lot in BFA. “Sweet! Weapon emissary day!!” gets another off-hand
I would rather just gear mostly through some sort of vendor. The PvP gear system is great - just add some variety.
I was also a huge fan of the crafted items in BfA, and I’m not sure why they did away with that. There is almost no reason to have crafting professions considering the best you can make is 168 and that takes several weeks of Maw quests.
I love this idea. You get a ‘coin’ from Timewalking quest reward and GO CHOOSE the gear you need. I got the same pair and level of boots on my shaman, last week/this week. A waste of my time. I have many alts I want to run but this is a HUGE deterrent. I love this ‘token/coin’ and go choose what I need.
they just need to bring back dinars and give rid of that crappy rigged vault. rng is not rng in wow, unless the r stands for rigged.
dinars need to come back in multiple forms. 1 for every mode of content you are doing. normal, heroic and mythic. kill X amount of bosses then purchase the item you need if you were unlucky with the boss drop.
dungeons, same thing, add another layer of dinars for them to, like badges from bc or emblems from wrath. this vault is a joke.
get rid of this failed vault and bs rng. its old and stale. its rotting really.
We have to thank to the hard core audience , key runners etc. If you get gear easy they complain how gearing is easy and problem. They like this system where you have to grind like a maniac all day, to fill out vault slots, and ofc more gear higher chances to get what you need. They love that.
In one had that is fair. You do more , you get more to choose from. In other hand it makes harder to get items you need for people who don’t do everything that game offers.
