Getting the BLZBNTBTS0000005C error

I have no idea why when wow would load just fine and let me play I have no idea whats going on!!! and it says downloading new files and then it stops and gives me this message “We are having trouble launching the Blizzard update agent.”

Hi there Ryomo,

Looking over this, I know this error is not fun. I hope we can get this figured out. The first thing I would do here is reset the Blizzard app. Perform Steps 1-5 here after that do not reinstall yet but follow these additional steps:

  1. Open file explorer/file manager
  2. Type the following into the address bar (not the search bar): %APPDATA%
  3. Delete the Bnet and blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %TEMP%
  5. Empty the recycle bin.

Next, I would want to make sure nothing is conflicting with the App, We can do this with a selective startup.

If these do not work, please get back to us with a DxDiag. It will let us know more about the computer in question.

DxDiag instructions (click to expand)
  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and then press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file something you can remember and click Save.
