Are you still triggered about my comments? You keep bringing up my name but not responding to anything I say.
I’m just quoting what Greg Street said dude. I’m not deflecting anything here. I’m posting his opinions on LFR. If you google that reddit thread he delves into LFR even further. But hey, if you want to dismiss what I said because it doesn’t fit into your echo chamber of pro LFR posting then what can I do?
well right…I agree with that entirely given some of the jokes that have come out of blizzard. But that doesnt mean they were lying on that point.
We assume they just woke up one morning and for NO REASON whatosever decided to make more work for themselves to create LFR.
For NO reason?None?
I doubt it.
So if there is a reason, what else could it be if not to save the raiding scene entirely as Ion indicated?
yeah…I read it. The guy comes off as a disgruntled ex employee sort.
Wasnt sure if he was believable or not.
ok…what years were those? What OTHER games were coming out? What OTHER problems existed in WoW at that time?
Im sorry but I cant just assume LFR was the game killer here. Not with no evidence other than MAYBE it came around at the same timeframe the game was doing badly for 100 other reasons.
sorry but until REAL decibels are coming out of your PC speakers its YOU who is taking the CAPS as screaming.
The game is living correct. The ions statements are not. We have all agreed with you that they were true. All I am saying is they might not be equally true still. I thing (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) that before lfr existed there were not 3 other levels of raid difficulty. That immediately changes the raiding landscape.
Let’s not get into gun stuff because it is off topic and should be left off the wow forums completely as much fun as it would be.
No response to this bit?
and your credibility is questionable. You have been caught lying and then just yelled BACK TO THE TOPIC to try and get everyone to move on. You have manipulated quotes to try and make me sound hostile when I wasn’t and you have no experience to show in the topic in the first place.
What do you mean by standards? Something like set rules for raiding based on some type of skill level. In players wanted to raid they would have to something like proving grounds. Based on their level in proving grounds people would then invite players to their groups.
I am of the opinion that leaders bit them guild or raid leaders should be able to set their own standards. If we make it so the game does it for it for we lose some of the little autotomy that we have as players. We also lose the ability to play with those that may push us to do better or for people to be a mentor. I don’t know how to explain my dislike of the idea well to be honest.
The game is living correct. The ions statements are not.

Im sorry but you HAVE to do MUCH better than this.
ion works for the company. Lies or no lies HE has info WE DONT and we have no choice but to try to take him at is word.
I wasnt playing back in MoP anyway…I cant just assume that Ion was the same man then as now.
Lots of people change over the course of a decade. He might have been entirely forthright every single sentence a decade ago for all I know.
What I do know is what he said and that it fits the details Ive read, so I have no reason not to believe that LFR was created so more people would see raids and justify the cost of the raid content
as someone else said…2 +2=4
sorry but until REAL decibels are coming out of your PC speakers its YOU who is taking the CAPS as screaming.
Well either you used caps a in the common way people do to indicate a raises voice or extra emphasis on a word or you just randomly decided to make some words caps and some not. It you could enlighten me as to why you put some words in all caps other than the generally accepted reason of raising voice then let me know.
Also apologise for lying and being caught out. At least I owned my mistake
There’s a term for it: raid awareness. It’s something that’s honestly very difficult to teach but if you can grasp it then you’ll be golden for the rest of your wow life.
The standards I’m talking about is general raid awareness. Can you react to a boss mechanic, support your team (debuff, decurse, CC, etc) which still keeping your dps up and being an asset to your raid team? It’s not so much as controlling you as a player as it is being a good team player.
No response to this bit?
no…Im pretty selective when I dont feel like perpetually beating a horse into a puddle.
You stated your views. Let it go.
If you look at Wrath’s raid participation numbers, they were rather quite high. Most of the player base got to kill the Lich King on level back in Wrath and everyone raided Naxx and Udular.
Ahahahaha. No. Participation rates were still low, there were just far, far more people doing it as there were 11.5 million subscribers in Wrath. This is before they stopped providing these figures. So if you looked at the raw count sure, more people raided in Wrath but it was still a fraction of the playerbase. Organized raiding has never been a majority activity in the history of this game.
I’m just quoting what Greg Street said dude.
My post links to the post I was responding to. That wasn’t it. The post it links to was the salty diatribe about how cata sucked and LFR was bad. Remember when Avel tried to dismiss Ion’s quote as coming from someone who no longer works for the company? Besides that at no point did he contradict anything Ion said. One is a justification to invest the resources into LFR from a business standpoint, the other is the intent of how the content would function in the community. Except it didn’t work out the way the developer who is no longer with the company expected it to. So cool, he had a hand in making something and he was completely wrong about how it would be utilized. Awesome? So it’s entirely possible that both of those statements are true. In the end what he wanted it to be doesn’t matter (a stepping stone). What matters it what it actually is (a way for people who don’t have a desire to do organized group content to see the story play out and get some low gear rewards relative to everything else).
No response to this bit?
Which bit? The ad hominem fallacy? Nah. People should just laugh at that and move on.
Also apologise for lying and being caught out. At least I owned my mistake
Sorry but Im NOT saying i lied just because YOU were caught in an error.
it doesnt work that way.
Not MY fault or problem that this software has quoting issues.
I SAID I control BOLDING…I DONT control quote mistakes this trash software makes.
LFRs existence is not stopping anyone from stepping up to real raiding. Either people raid or they don’t. I’m in the don’t raid crowd; I might do a LFR now and then sure because why not, I like to see the story and there might be a transmog piece or something I want. But if LFR didn’t exist I still wouldn’t raid normal or heroic.
Why don’t you take your own advice? We know you prefer content you don’t do. You can stop posting at any time.
Im sorry but you HAVE to do MUCH better than this.
What about this? Do I “HAVE to do MUCH better than this”?
I thing (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) that before lfr existed there were not 3 other levels of raid difficulty. That immediately changes the raiding landscape
I mean these are just facts
It you could enlighten me as to why you put some words in all caps
just to EMPHASIZE . you know…draw attention to.
Some here seem to be seriously NOT READING what is said when I DONT use CAPS.
See how that works? ![]()
You just look ridiculous when you do that.
What about this? Do I “HAVE to do MUCH better than this”?
no…you dont. and after this thread I honestly dont expect much anyway.
Sorry but Im NOT saying i lied just because YOU were caught in an error.
it doesnt work that way.

I SAID I control BOLDING…I DONT control quote mistakes this trash software makes.
So go and change the bonding then. That is still giving a miss representation of that I said. Go back and put a note saying the forum program (that no one else seems to struggle with including yourself since I called you put on it) made a mistake and correct it.
I’m not saying you should say you lied because I was wrong about it being ion that said why they made lfr 10 years ago. I’m day mg you should admit to lying because you lied and were caught. Simple as that.
Be a grown up and apologise.
FYI if any of the kids I have taught at high school demonstrated your level of flippancy with the truth or your general tone with anyone in my ear shot I would have contacted their parents so they knew how poorly behaved their child was and possibly got them stood down for a day or two as well.
You just look ridiculous when you do that.
Yeah…see theres that OPINION thing again that I seriously dont care about.
