Getting rid of LFR would help normal participation

That’s a silly and irrelevant question. Whether it’s possible to want a bunch of different things in a game has absolutely no bearing on this discussion at all. We’re not debating about how a game should be designed that doesn’t exist yet, we’re talking about a game that already exists and isn’t what you want it to be.

WoW retail isn’t linear. They aren’t going to make it linear because some tryhards have a problem with nonlinear power progression. Nor should such requests even be humored. WoW Classic is intended to be an authentic recreation of vanilla WoW. Everyone knew that. And while it had linear progression we knew what the challenge level was going to be like (which is to say it’s a joke from a challenge standpoint). This isn’t some new revelation that people were unaware of when it was announced.

You don’t seem to get that asking for retail WoW to be linear progression isn’t asking for more than what we have. It’s asking for less. You’re asking them to remove content, to take content away that people enjoy because you want the game to be something different than what it is. It’s a ridiculous request.

Never going to happen. The few people that i know, run LFR exclusively and want 0 to do with normal and above raiding.

If there is still going to be a queue, I say allow all difficulties to be entered either as a full pre-made group or via a queue as a partial pre-made group or solo. Let the players decide how they will try each difficulty.

Who cares about loot? I don’t want to waste my time spamming trade.

You just said “they don’t want a game, they want a toy.” This is the intelligence levelof a Classic purist.

What will then do when changes happen? That’s gonna be funny to see.

It’s wrong because you are taking away content that does not effect you at all. You not being able to understand that is a you thing.

But LFR defenders often say “LFR is to see the story” that should be the only reward. LFR should not give gear period. Maybe a few cosmetic rewards or a mount, but that is it.

I stand by what I said earlier. People that like LFR only like it because it is a easy path to gear, that skips all the amazing parts of raiding with a team.

Hard to sell that now, since the game actively encourages anti-social behavior.

This is a wall of gibberish mate. Honestly, reread this post.

LFR is fine. If it makes people feel better remove LFR and add an auto queue for normal…

Then you have Mythic+0 which in my opinion, is easier than LFR, and it drops 400 item level gear, 15 over LFR.

So… I don’t see how LFR dropping gear is remotely a problem. :woman_facepalming:

Removing LFR would only make a small fraction of loud trolls happy.

LFR is fine, and should be left alone.

You can’t AFK through M0. I AFKed all my LFR runs this expansion just to see if I could do it. I wasn’t kicked once.

Just because your dragging everyone else down with your laziness doesn’t make LFR easier.

Mythic+0 isn’t hard. Heck, it’s basically the new heroic dungeons. LFR is more annoying to deal with than Mythic+0 is, and Mythic+0 gives better loot.

I just did the first boss on lfr and spent the entire fight from the first puddles on wards running back and forth over puddles of opposite colours.
I took double either of the tanks damage and only healed myself the whole fight to top the hps meters.
No one noticed.

Okay, that is just awesome lol!!! I too look for creative ways to kills myself and we usually get the kill. There is zero accountability in LFR and that is why people love it.

WoD proved that if you kill the rewards from it, participation plummets.

People want easy loot and the cool cosmetics they put into raids without having to actually put any effort in.

I agree, LFR should be left alone…

There you are with the " they don’t want a game, they want a toy."

That statement is beyond idiotic. The Classic purists are really deluded…and angry.

What will they do when changes happen? We all know they will.

Nah I don’t bother trying to reason with ignorance.

This is one of the reasons LFR is bad for the game. It teaches bad habits, and for new players that use it as a first look to learn the fights I think it actually makes them worse.

Someone who did LFR first boss on normal would see a ton of flashy things on their screen, and probably leave the fight thinking “cool, dodge the blue and green shards and stay out of pools”.

It doesn’t actually teach them the fight, and they leave oblivious to the mechanics that actually matter on higher difficulties.

Reason #482 to delete LFR.

It is true though, LFR requires zero challenge, people just want to see the content for no effort and collect those phat loots.

Nice ad hominem attack there!

What changes are you talking about? As far as I know, there are no planned changes to LFR or anything relating to Classic. If you are implying that LFR is going to come to Classic, then you haven’t been paying attention mate.

Edit: Oh, you are from Ruin too. That explains a lot now.

Theres nothing to defend…NO ONE HERE is being requested to play LFR if they dont want to
ALL thats required here is for YOU to mind YOUR OWN BUSINESS and stay OUT of ours.
Seems simple enough

yup…AND THATS OUR BUSINESS, NOT YOURS

Jayawen

  • Uldir LFR 1/8
  • Battle of Dazar’alor LFR 8/9
  • Crucible of Storms LFR 2/2
  • The Eternal Palance LFR 4/5

With ZERO normal
ZERO heroic
ZERO mythic.

Sorry…but WHO is the LFR hero here?

heh…ironic that you should say that given you have ZERO normal, heroic or mythic showing this expansion…its ALL LFR.
Hypocrite?
Now…give us all some really interesting excuses why that might be…cant wait to here them
