Getting rid of class sets was a terrible idea

Take a look at this video showcasing LFR-mythic “cloth” armor that we get from the new raid.

There is no longer an aesthetic for priests, mages, or warlocks. Class identity is completely dead, and it really doesn’t help the armor is ugly in general.

Please bring back class sets for Shadowlands!

I’m disappointed in the lack of sets, but i don’t agree the armor sets in general are ugly. There are some pretty good armor sets this expansion, just not enough compared to others.

They were nice from an xmog point of view but I never liked that the set bonuses basically dictated everyone using the same build.

Hopefully the return to class identity also means sets.

I didn’t think they would change anything in bfa.

There will be covenant sets. But yeah I’d love a return to class identity via fashion.

I will agree that the armor doesn’t look all that great (and to be honest, we have some crap looking tier sets in the past as well) but I disliked the concept of the tier set. It forced you into playing the build the tier was designed around. For all it’s faults, AZ allows you to build an armor set around a build you want to play. Regardless of how sub-optimal it might be.

I agree but Mythic Tentacle Monster transmog is great for Shadow Priests.

I miss the class aesthetic too, tentacles are not suitable for Paladins or Holy Priests. Class sets went out the window when they got rid of tier sets, that occurred because players felt like they were locked into older set bonuses and were unable to equip upgrades. It’s understandable, but I don’t get why they didn’t just nerf or disable old set bonuses during the expansion instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water.
